Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Please, how many units can be attached in daisy chain?

A: In theory, until you run into a device that no longer meets the HDCP negotiation or until you run out of keys to negotiate. That said, there is a limit to how much distance you'll get on a particular type of cable. For the most distance, you need shielded cat6 or better.

Q: 2. What type of power supply is shipped with the device? Is is a normal DC wall pack, or is it the PS-1202?

A: It is a wall-wart style DC power adapter.

Q: 3. Do both (transmitter and receiver) need power ? or ONLY one of them?

A: Yes, both the transmitter and receiver will need to be powered. It will come with 2 AC power supplies.

Q: 4. Will this work with another brand of transmitter? In other words, are there different protocols or a standard one for converting signals?

A: Sorry, but the Kramer HDMI over Twisted Pair Receiver B&H # KRPT572P can only be used with a dkgat product like the VM-114H4C, VM-1H4C or pt-571.

Q: 5. Can I have multiple receivers? I have one source that I would like to display on 3 different displays in 3 different locations.

A: Yes, one can work with up to 8 receivers, with capability to send the same source to multiple receivers.

Q: 6. Would i need the receiver if i have a device that supports HDBT?

A: No, the Kramer PT-571 HDMI over Twisted Pair Transmitter will allow you to output HDBT signals directly to the device you are using that has HDBT input. You do not need a receiver.

Q: 7. Can you have multiple transmitters on the same network and flip between sources?

A: There are no controls on the receiver so no way to flip between sources. The transmitters do multicast across the whole network so the best way to do what you want (with these boxes) would be to set up separate physical networks or create virtual LANs to separate the various transmitters. A receiver's port would need to be assigned to a particular VLAN to receive the signal from the transmitter on that VLAN.

Q: 8. Can I have the model number of the correct receiver to pair 3 more TV's to this unit ?

A: The Ocean Matrix HDMI Over IP Extender / Converter (BH # OCOMXHDMI2IP) will use this receiver: Ocean Matrix OMX-HDMI-2-IP-R HDMI over IP Extender Receiver (B&H # OCOMXHDMIIPR) 1080p HDMI Signal Extender Transmits up to 393' with Cat 6 Cable HDCP Compliant Takes Advantage of Existing Wiring Supports Multichannel Audio

Q: 9. what is the max resolution that this will support?

A: This for HDMI, I.E 1080p.

Q: 10. Does this support 1920x1200?

A: Yes, the Kramer HDMI over Twisted Pair Receiver supports 1920x1200.

[5.0 V p-p (TTL)] Used in a church sanctuary to send HDMI long distances and does it job. The green/orange/red indicator is very handy as well as the surface mounting hardware.

[Painted steel] I'm using 571/572s for video, with audio going to mixer and house speakers. Video and audio are not in synch. Presonix mixer has no function to delay audio. Help, anyone?

[Painted steel] We needed this for a church set up. We are running a video camera and to get the HDMI signal back to the booth we tried these out. Our church also uses a rec/tran pair to get HDMI up to our projector. Kramer makes good sturdy products this is no exception. This is the Receiver you do need to purchase the Transmitter PT-571 to make a pair. Both come with a power supply you only need to power one end. This did work just fine with a pre-made 100 foot cat5 cable. If I was going longer distance I would make sure to use cat6 cable. Good Luck... Rob

[18 V DC] These little pico tools from Kramer are an excellent solution at a good price point. Using these with 572 receivers and a Kramer 2x4 HDMI distro on the front end to send presentations to three screens over 100' of qualified (Kramer uniKat) CAT6 cable. It just works. No latency, no glitching, no resolution limits up to and including 1920 x 1080. Rack amount accessories make for a clean, manageable installation. The 572 receivers get power over ethernet, so no wall wart required at the receiver end.
