Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Do these cables work with turntables..?

A: I use it. It is not too bad

Q: 2. What about 48volt phantom power? Do the mics still get enough juice?

A: The Hosa Technology YXM-101.5 XLR Female to Dual XLR Male Audio Y-Cable is not designed to split signals from microphones directly and therefore may not provide adequate power to a microphone requiring 48 volts.

Q: 3. can i use this to connect the Scarlett 2i2 3rd gen interface to an Onkyo A/V receiver?

A: Yes, that is the correct cable for connection.

Q: 4. How will the tracks record if this was used with a DJI Mic system (two mics and one receiver) connected to a Zoom recorder via 3.5mm to dual XLR?

A: In theory it should work. The DJI receiver has a 3.5mm unbalanced TRS jack so that should split ok to two separate channels on your Zoom with this adapter. I've not tried that personally, but seems like it would work.

Q: 5. Im looking for cables to connect my bass guitar amp to its speaker cabinet. Are these intended for that use (or are they for home stereo speakers... or both?)

A: They are designed for guitar, or bass, amp to speaker. They are a great value, I use several in my home studio..

Q: 6. Is this cable balanced?

A: The Hosa Technology Stereo Mini Male to Stereo Mini Male Cable (15') in an unbalanced line-level stereo cable.

Q: 7. Is this a 3 wire cable?

A: No. Think of it as a dual monaural.

Q: 8. Will this cable connect the Audient Id4 output to iLoud micro monitor speakers?

A: Yes, the Hosa Technology HPR-005X2 Dual 1/4" TS Male to Dual RCA Male Stereo Audio Cable can be used to connect the outputs of the Audient iD4 MKII Desktop 2x2 USB Type-C Audio Interface to the inputs of the IK Multimedia iLoud Micro Monitors.

Q: 9. How will these work between an audio interface and a pair of powered nearfield monitors?Which is ideal, balanced or unbalanced cables?Thank you.

A: The Hosa HSS-005 is a solid choice for a well priced quality cable. Powered monitor inputs and audio interface outputs are generally designed to be used with balanced cables. This is usually noted in the documentation, and in the case of the monitors printed directly on the unit. The benefit of a balanced cable would be superior rejection of RF into the cable vs. an unbalanced cable. This will come into play for longer cable runs.

Q: 10. How far do the two 1/4 ends reach before they are fastened together into one cable? I need to come out of the back of a recording interface using the RCA ends. Then using the 1/4 ends, into a pair of monitors which are spread about 4 feet apart. Will the 1/4 ends of this cable reach? Thank you very much.

A: They split about 6 from the ends - but they may easily be split farther apart by gently cutting the jackets with a razor knife. Warranty is voided by this common modification however.

[0.1 lb] Works great--this cable allows you to convert a male 1/4 stereo jack to a 3.5 mm--I use it to go from an audio mixer to a computer input.

[0.1 lb] not Neutrik connectors, these are Rean connectors (chinese imitation) but they do fine, no noise, no signal loss, no different from the Mogami I have, just do your part, keep audio away from power and it's a breeze. Being used to plug keyboards into a board, out of the board into patchbays.

[0.1 lb] I am a Media Director at my church, and that also includes sound engineering. I have a lot of stereo inputs outputs left and right, hehe get it, and BHPhotoVideo makes finding exactly what you need pretty dang good. I am satisfied with my care.

[Black] I was tired of having to use the mini to PC and PC to mini adapter when connecting my Pocket Wizards to my ABs. The 3' Mini Male to Mini Male cables by Hosa are the perfect replacement. The 3' length gives plenty of distance between the Pocket Wizards and the strobes so there is no EMF interference that may cause a misfire. I have used the cables on several shoots (that have lasted over 10 hours) and have had no issues. I no longer have to worry about losing those small Pocket Wizard adapters.
