A 1.5x squeeze ratio is a perfect balance between the size and anamorphic intensity. With a 1.5x squeeze ratio, you will have a 2.66:1 on a 16:9 sensor after de-squeeze. There is also room for you to crop into a 2.4:1 widescreen ratio.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this lens work with the C70? More specifically the 40mm and 65mm. I've read from some sources that they will crop on this camera since it can't cover the entire S35 sensor?

A: Yes, the Vazen 65mm T2 1.8x Anamorphic Lens (RF) will work on the Canon C70 camera and the crop factor will be approximately 1.4x.

Q: 2. can all the 3 lenses in this set work with a pl to mft adapter on the lumix GH5? what aspect ratio w/open gate no crop u get?

A: The BLAZAR LENS Great Joy 85mm T2.9 1.8x Anamorphic Lens (PL + EF Mounts, Blue Flare) can be used with a PL to MFT mount. The only thing is they may require some level of shimming for perfect focus.

Q: 3. Will this work and fit with the Blackmagic Full Frame Cinema 6k?

A: No, the EF mount of the BLAZAR LENS Remus 45mm T2.0 1.5x Anamorphic Lens (Canon EF, Blue Flare) will not connect to the L-Mount of the Black Magic Cinema 6k camera. . An adapter would be required. Viltrox Canon EF/EF-S Lens to Leica L-Mount Camera Pro Lens Adapter BH #VIEFLPRO • MFR #EF-L PRO

Q: 4. is it possible to install this lens on a speedbooster 0.71 EF?

A: The BLAZAR LENS Remus 45mm T2.0 1.5x Anamorphic Lens (Canon EF, Amber Flare) would be able to be installed on an EF Speedbooster, however the crop factor of the Speedbooster may interfere with a standard 1.5x desqueeze. Lens testing would be recommended.

Q: 5. Has any body tested it with Red Komodo?

A: We see no reason why the Vazen Vazen 65mm T2 1.8x Anamorphic RF Mount Lens would not work with the RED Komodo's RF lens mount.

Q: 6. Does the optional full-frame adapter this comes with cause a stop of light loss?

A: When using the Venus Optics Laowa Proteus 2x Anamorphic 35mm T2 Lens, when using the optional 1.4x full frame adapter, there will be the loss of one stop of light.

Q: 7. Is it possible to install on the speedbooster adapter EF to m43?

A: The Venus Optics Laowa Proteus 2x Anamorphic 35mm T2 Lens can be adapted for use with a speedbooster once the PL mount is not longer applied to the lens and it is using the EF mount.

Q: 8. The three lens bundle includes the hard case?

A: The BLAZAR LENS Great Joy 35, 50 & 85mm T2.9 1.8x Anamorphic 3-Lens Kit (PL + EF Mounts, Blue Flare) does not ship with the BLAZAR LENS 3-Lens Hard Case for 1.8x Anamorphic Lens. It will be an additional purchase. See the link below: https://bhpho.to/3ppKPWJ

[1.35 lb] I used to have the Series T anamorphic lens for iphone, this one is a lot sharper, especially on the edge, and smoother color grading. And the gold flare is way better. I recommedn it

[25.6 mm] Great value for the price. The aesthetics of the images achieved are beautiful. It would be nice to have a detailed manufacturer's video of the mount change from PL to EF.

[Super35/APS-C] Ive used the 27mm for a while and was convinced I needed something a bit closer for my kit. Great tool to have and compliments the the other lenses as well for both my Komodo and R5C! Very little distortion, barely any breathing and the silver flare is not obnoxious! Recommend these lenses as they are small and light and great intro to the bigger and beefier vintage anamoprhics.

[55 mm] Conversion with supplied EF mount was not too difficult. Fit is perfect. Love this affordable option for shooting anamorphic. Ordered the Laowa Venus 1.33x front anamorphic adapter to get a 2x squeeze out of it. Because of the availability delay on the adapter I can't report on the two together yet. But at a 1.5x squeeze I'm pretty impressed. Every review on youtube has been pretty spot on so no need to repeat it here.

[55 mm] The iPhone 15 Pro cameras are bigger, so add-on lenses have to be optimized for the new camera. (Stay away from budget lenses) I was happy to see it was sharp and in focus from corner to corner on my 15 Pro. The T-series mount is larger. Moment sells phones cases for the mount, and some iPhone cages have available adapter plates that can handle T-series mounts.
Mount the lens by twisting. Use the included hex key to align the lens so it's vertical.
The iPhone 15 Pro camera is already wide, so adding a 1.33x lens means we are approaching the ultra wide view of a GoPro. (You can punch in with the Blackmagic Camera app--so that gives you a range of options).
The gold anamorphic flares are stronger than the older models which is nice.
Worth the money.

[55 mm] This lens looks great, has interesting flares and has character up the wazoo. I love the distortion of this lens. It may be my PL mount, but the lens is a bit too soft at the moment at distances past 10 meters, and I'll have it checked out soon at a rental house with focus charts. Besides that, so amazing!

[T2.8] These lenses have a constant 1.5x squeeze factor, which gives consistent results across the entire focus range and makes for reliable de-squeezing in post. Other affordable Anamorphic lens brands do not have a constant squeeze factor. This lens is clean with minimal chromatic aberration only at the very lowest T-stop. It is incredibly lightweight which is useful in run and gun productions. I cant speak for the PL mount, as those may have a bit more heft to them. Flaring is very gentle on the silver version and slightly more aggressive on the blue and amber versions. You cant go wrong with this lens. See attached example.

[T16] First off, there's a review with 1 start saying ( Not for professional use ) - I think that's an irresponsible opinion, without any room for subjectiveness. Since the definition of a professional really is nothing more than someone who is being paid for their work, you can't just say not for professional use, when there are many types of looks in demand by clients looking for exactly what these produce. I'd say these are definitely lenses for professionals in the right situation.

Quick mentiontions (tough body and mounts, strong gears, very controlled flaring, and ultra light).

I am not saying these are the best tools for every job, and I agree that there are some issues regarding the lenses distortion - which are easily noticeable in review videos (evidently the other person didn't study before buying), which for me, has all be quickly addressable in an editor with limited adjustments if I decided to correct it.

However, I have already had a few clients, including my own personal work, where the look and feel these lenses with the distortion they create is preferred, it added a feel to the image, it was the deciding factor to use these for the productions actually (feature films), it added a driving mood that complimented the narrative - so when I say they are a tool, I am simply saying - understand what your tools have to offer, and you will know if they are the right ones for the jobs, and in those cases, these lenses are phenomenal. They are a little too sharp for my typical feel, but I slapped a custom made filter in my matte box, and they have become the perfect look for my film making aesthetic.

Study these lenses on YouTube, understand their strengths and weaknesses, and make sure those strengths align with your objective - if they do, BUY THESE - I love mine.

[T2.8] I am truly amazed by the images these lenses can produce for the price and size! If you are looking for lenses that don't look sterile and have some character to them without having to sell all your possessions to afford them, then these are absolutely the lenses for you!
