Q: 1. How do u rate this fpr monochrome prints

A: Hi Arvind. Thanks for your inquiry. The paper is superb for both monochrome and color, with an advanced coating that reproduces a wide tonal range. You'll also get very good detail in the blacks with its high dmax.

Q: 2. Do you have any problems loading this in a Pro-100 printer ? Heavier Hahnemuhle gloss Baryta 320 will not load with the manual feed

A: Should be no problem at all if you feed it in the manual rear feed even for the Baryta 320. Just be sure to feed it straight in with both hands by pushing it lightly & the printer will automatically grab it.

Q: 3. when it says pigment or Dye ink, does that mean it works with inkjet printers?

A: Yes, Inkjet printers usually use Dye or Pigment inks. So that paper will work on most inkjet printers.

Q: 4. Does this paper contain OBAs (optical brightening agents)?

A: I don't think so,it's pretty dull and soaks up the ink

Q: 5. Is there any way to request short grain or long grain for this paper?

A: Hi Clint, although you cannot specifically order by grain direction, the grain direction is indicated on each box of paper in the lot# on the reverse side of the box - on the label. Within the series of stamped letters and numbers is either GS or GL indicating grain direction.Having said that, on the larger sheets like A2 and 17x22 the grain direction will almost always be GL due to the yields in the manufacturing process.

Q: 6. Is this water proof/plastic feeling on one side?

A: This would be a single sided Water-resistant Japanese Washi. I do not find it to have a plastic type feel to it, but it is Water-resistant (not water-proof).

Q: 7. Can Hahnemhle Photo Rag Pearl Paper be used with offset printing, and how does the "pearl inkjet coating and is compatible with both pigment-based and dye-based ink systems" perform when doing offset printing? Is there a different product that is recommended if the printing is done offset?

A: Yes, you will be able to use the Moab Entrada Rag Natural 300 Paper with offset printing. The paper will work with both pigment and dye based inks.

Q: 8. Is this product pre-scored and drilled??

A: Yes

Q: 9. The description does not say what's in the box. How many paper types/textures?

A: The Moab 8.5 x 11" General Sampler BH #MOSP8512 includes 2 sheets each of: Entrada Rag Bright 190, Bright 300, Natural 190, Natural 300, Textured 300, Juniper Baryta Rag 305, Lasal Photo Matte 235, Exhibition Luster 300, Moenkopi Unryu 55 and Kozo 110, Slickrock Metallic Pearl 260 and Silver 300

Q: 10. what is the opacity?

A: The Moab Lasal Photo Matte 235 has an opacity of 86.

I am printing a show of Antarctic images and the Kozo lends a luminosity that is etherial and very beautiful.I had do do a lot of work on the paper profiles to match my 7900 printer but when we got it right.. fabulous . There is a quality to the whites and the mid tones that is very beautiful. 5

If you want to try it without buying a full pack, this is the way to go. There are a lot of very good matte papers from companies to use, these give results well worth your effort. 5

Given the right image, the paper produces beautiful output. I have used it to reproduce a digital copy of custom water color. The texture added a unique texture and on casual inspection was to distinguish from the original. As of Aug 2020, I could not find an icc profile for the Epson p700. I selected the profile for the p600 and was happy with the output. 5

Great print using the Moab icc provided online; just be aware that this paper applies to only certain types of pictures, e.g. flowers, fall leaves. 5

This rice paper is just what I needed to print my photos for mounting on canvas wraps and decoupaging. It went through my printer easily and retained the vibrant color of the image. 5

I'm a fine artist and have been focused on inkjet printing for more than ten years. This a great paper. I get a very different look from papers I had been using where the ink sits on the surface and colors can be very saturated. It has subtle but very nice texture. It's a little pricey, but to me, worth it. 5
