Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. is the maximum height measured to the top of the arca mounting plate with the center column extended all the way or to the top of the tripod not counting the ball head and mounting plate ?

A: The maximum height is measured at full extension to the top of the camera plate.

Q: 2. How waterproof/water resistant is this tripod?

A: Benro does not list this tripod as being water resistant. Carbon Fiber is generally more water resistant than Aluminum. Also with the twist locks of this tripod, one can break down the tripod, rinse and dry the parts, then put it back together.

Q: 3. can the ball head v30 be removed?

A: Yes.

Q: 4. Can this handle something like a Sony FF body and a 70-200 f/2.8 GM?

A: Yes, the Benro Rhino Carbon Fiber One Series Travel Tripod with VX20 Head (B&H# BERHN14CVX20) can handle a full frame Sony a7, a9, or a1 series camera with the Sony 70-200mm f/2.8 G Master lens (whether version I or II). However, it would be a good idea to mount that on this tripod using the foot of the tripod collar mount on the lens.

Q: 5. does a manfrotto 501 hdv fluid head fits in this legs?

A: Yes. This has a 3/8"-16 threaded mount for tripod heads. This is the same connection as used on that Manfrotto head. The head will definitely fit, though with the head attached this tripod would not fold down to its most compact size.

Q: 6. Does this have the same working height without center colum as the next model up? If not what is the height?

A: The Benro Rhino Two Series Carbon Fiber Tripod has a max height of 66.33" (168.5 cm) with the center column extended.

Q: 7. What options are there for really low angle shots? Can the center column be reversed? Is there a shorter one for this?

A: Although the center column cannot be reversed on the Rhino Carbon Fiber One Series Travel Tripod with VX20 Head, you can put the legs into a low angle position.

Q: 8. Is this compatible with Canon 5D Mark IV?

A: Yes, the Benro Rhino Carbon Fiber Three Series Travel Tripod with VX30 is compatible with DSLR cameras like the Canon 5D Mark IV.

Q: 9. Two questions: 1) can we adjust the center column height in between "Max Height without Center Column: 57.01" AND 'Maximum Working Height: 68.8"? 2) Do we need to set the center column to ONLY maximum height to use it. ?

A: The center column on the Benro Rhino Carbo Fiber Three Series Travel Tripod with VX30 Head can be adjust between the maximum and minimum height as needed.

Q: 10. What's the difference between the one, two, and three? They seem like pretty much the same to me.

A: Each series of the Benro Rhino Travel Tripod has a different load capacity, weight, and height: the higher the series number, the greater the capacity, weight, and height.

[Twist Lock] Recently purchased this model tripod during a sale. This is my second tripod from Benro (a smaller unit with about 7# capacity). I needed a more heavy duty unit to hold my Sony A7R5 camera and heavy zoom telephoto lenses. It meets my criteria and more. I rate this tripod 5 stars with no defects found.

[Yes] Very solid and well built. This tripod is much more robust than my other travel tripod, so it will not be on any long hikes because of its weight. It is more weighty than I expected, but that is my choice, not a flaw. There are more options available than I typically use, but one cannot complain about have too many, rather than too few, options.

[3/8"-16 Male] While I have not had a chance to use it extensively, It is very light, and easy to set up. Strong enough to carry the weight of NIKON Z9, converter ring and a 300mm telephoto lens.

[Carbon Fiber] Appears to be every bit as well designed and built as the big $ brands. Stacks up to high-end equipment shockingly well in all categories I can think of. Like most of the other folks who bought this, I got it on a sale. However, at it's retail price it's still an excellent value compared to comparable offerings from other companies. I've been very happy overall with Benro products over the years (my tripods are exclusively Benros at this point), though I can't say whether they'll stand the test of time like a Gitzo or RRS might (in regard to things like retaining bolt tightness for the leg hinges).

[4] I had been using my old tripod for about 25 years...it was heavy...it was cumbersome...but it was sturdy and never let me (or my cameras) down...Naturally I have been looking for a new one for the last couple of years...visited brick &mortar stores testing them...but I never found anything I thought was worth the cost ...in my price range.

Naturally, I was ecstatic when I came across B&H's sale on the Beno Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod. It's light weight...super sturdy and was on sale for nearly 1/2 price. I couldn't type fast enough to get my order filled.

Thanks to B&H, I have a new piece of badly needed equipment that easily supports my Z9 with a NIKON 300mm f2.8 lens, but is light enough to carry and small enough to store comfortably.

Thanks,
B&H...(for my Christmas present)

[Yes] The class instructor really said we all need to get a tripod, so I started searching for something better than a starter model. I am very happy with this tripod, extremely well made and easy to use. The instructor is right, it IS really useful to have a tripod. And whenever the pandemic settles down, this tripod seems like it will travel well. Great value!

[4] My first real tripod was a Benro Travel Angel and I've been loyal since. I've had the travel angel for 11+ years and it was time for an upgrade. I have a Benro Mach 3 and love it but I wanted something more portable friendly. After reviewing the many series that Benro offers I decided on the Rhino because of it's focus on stability and portability. It was on sale so I got a deal and B&H packed it well and shipped very fast. And, with PayBoo I saved the tax. :-)

[4] I purchased this tripod while B&H had it on an excellent sale, and I was able to work with it on a lengthy shoot this past weekend (for the first time). I photographed an outdoor wedding for a really nice couple, and it's light weight and sturdiness was much appreciated. I'm a stickler for sharpness and detail, and I often use a tripod during such shoots. If it's helpful, I shoot with a Nikon D850 and a Nikkor 70-200mm F2.8 for the vast majority of the photos, and the tripod and the VX30 ballhead held everything rock-solid. I found it to be an excellent tripod and will be using it for any future on-location shoots!

[Carbon Fiber] I wanted a tripod that I could take on a trip to arctic and I wanted something to be light and sturdy and after trying more than 10 tripods I ended up with this Benro Rhino which I have to tell you was great. If you are looking for a nice size and light weight tripod then look no further.
