Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I'm after the 1450 case which has a rubber over-molded handle, though I noticed that some photos of the cases don't have that feature. Can you explain why that's the case?

A: I'm not sure what photos you are referring to, but I can tell you that all Pelican cases have similar handles.....however they can vary slightly among different cases. You may need to think about a particular color for your 1450 to get the handle you want. Good luck!

Q: 2. Is there enough room for a Nikon D810 and 14-24mm, 24-70mm, & 70-200mm lens?

A: Unfortunately that set up would not work in this case. I would recommend the Pelican 1500 Case with Foam. This would be a better fit. Link: http://bhpho.to/1yI0RtU

Q: 3. Does this case fit under an airplane seat? I am looking for a hard case for a D700, 24-70 and 70-200mm that could ideally fit under the seat of an airplane?

A: It is too wide to fit under an airplane seat. It's height is adequate, but not width.

Q: 4. Could you put a Macbook Pro 16 / 2021 in this case? Thanks!

A: The cut out area of the foam is too small. If you remove the foam it'll fit. The Nanuk 923 is a better choice. https://bhpho.to/3mnQxUb

Q: 5. Will the blackmagic pcc6k fit in this case?

A: Yes, while you will not have a lot of room for much else a Pocket Cinema Camera 6K will fit.

Q: 6. Will this case fit a Canon 70-200 is mkii and a Canon 6D?

A: I personally wouldn't recommend it for regular large telephoto-zoom lens, like 70-200L, 200L or100-400l type sizes, plus a 6D camera body..I prefer deeper(depth cases with plenty of clearance for foam dampening-I have the 1450 for battery, Flash and misc electronic accessories... Check out slightly deeper sizes up with similar length wide dimensions...

Q: 7. Will my benq 1070a fit in this case

A: The best thing to do, is to take measurements of your device, then check the interior dimensions on this case. All specifications can be found in the ad, or on Pelicans website.

Q: 8. Is the foam anti-static?!

A: Im not sure.. sorry

Q: 9. How much foam margin is there along the interior sides with the Pick-and-Pluck foam? I want to be able to put a Mackie 802VLZ4 mixer in here, at 10.7 x 8.9 x 1.8. It should fit, according to the dimensions given here, but the Pelican custom foam builder says it won't.

A: The foam has a snug fit but I very compressible. I've found that you can squish the 1/2 cube down to 1/8 . That's if you don't care to take your cargo in and out often. I give my gear two or three cubes for easy in and out. The overall gap between the foam and the side is about 1/16 or so. Hope that helps.

Q: 10. Will this case fit under an airline seat. I'm flying to Europe and I am wondering if I can stow this under a seat? Thanks

A: This case - at 7 x 17 x 14 - fits under the published* under-seat limits of Delta (20 x 17 x 11 ); American (20 x 17 x 11.75 ); Southwest (19 x 19 x 9.5 ); United (17 x 10.5 x 20).*According to USA Today Travel Tips

[Orange] When carrying important gear you can either camouflage or keep it in the open. This case insures you can easily keep “eyes on”. As with all Pelican cases, they are built to last ?

[Latch] I took this on a River trip down the Grand Canyon and it kept my camera gear perfectly dry!

[Latch] This is an awesome case. The build quality is great and the size is perfect for my needs. The pick and pluck foam is really easy to use and also easy to cut to height, just use a mat knife and multiple strokes. Love the custom nameplate option, currently waiting on mine in the mail. I plan on this case lasting a lifetime.

[Handle] I needed something smaller to hold one DSLR and several lenses so I could have something with me all the time.  This accomplishes this.  Love Pelican cases.

[Yes] I decided to finally better organize in one safe place all my filters, step-up rings, lens adapters, extension tubes, shutter releases, hot shoe adapters, AA/AAA Eneloop batteries, and other small photo items that could be used with more than one of my cameras or related gear. The padded dividers in this well-made case were very easy to adjust to my exact needs. I chose the Orange case so it would stand out from all my other cases and bags. I'm sure the padded dividers could be arranged to hold lenses but I feel it's better to use a foam insert for those. In summary, I am very pleased with the size, protection, and ease of organization this case provides for my small accessories.

[Yes] I have a couple of these 1450s. I use them to store my cameras and associated equipment. These cases are waterproof, according to claims, and I have not had occasion to dispute this. I put desiccators in them, shut them, and feel that my cameras are protected from mildew and rust (I live in a very humid climate). I check the desiccators every so often and they seem to remain active for a number of months .... so the cases must be very water resistant, if not waterproof. The dividers are great and protect items in the case from bumping into each other when I carry them. They don't give you every possible configuration of compartments but I found them to work very well for a camera with a 70-200mm zoom, a couple more lenses, batteries and battery charger, a batch of filters, a case with some memory cards in it, and a few more items. I use these 1450 cases for storage as outlined above but I have another similarly built but larger Pelican case that I use for taking the camera equipment I need to horse shows. The dividers in all these Pelican cases were, in my opinion well thought out. I have been able to organize my equipment so I can get a things quickly. I might note in passing that a horse show offers a fairly hostile environment: lots of airborne dust and sand, often rain and mud, and a number of things that may jostle your equipment. The 1450 case has the same construction as the larger one. They are all good protection. I have never tried to float one of these cases. I think there is a claim somewhere that the 1450 case will. While I find this claim somewhat believable, I cannot verify it and, rest assured, I will never purposely test it :)

[Cubed Foam] I took a 2 day river rafting trip with my Nikon D750 and accessories in this case. The case was drenched much of the trip, but not a drop of water made it inside. I'm certainly very happy with my purchase.
