Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this unit hold a NIKON D90 with attached 18-105MM lens, light meter and a few small things? Your thoughts.

A: I put in this case a canon 5d with 28 to 135 lens and have room left over for another lens and flash. Pelican cases rock Ive had one that has protected my lap tops from everything for 18 years. To theses cases are the best. Hope this helps

Q: 2. Will my benq 1070a fit in this case

A: The best thing to do, is to take measurements of your device, then check the interior dimensions on this case. All specifications can be found in the ad, or on Pelicans website.

Q: 3. Is there enough room for a Nikon D810 and 14-24mm, 24-70mm, & 70-200mm lens?

A: Unfortunately that set up would not work in this case. I would recommend the Pelican 1500 Case with Foam. This would be a better fit. Link: http://bhpho.to/1yI0RtU

Q: 4. Will this case fit under an airline seat. I'm flying to Europe and I am wondering if I can stow this under a seat? Thanks

A: This case - at 7 x 17 x 14 - fits under the published* under-seat limits of Delta (20 x 17 x 11 ); American (20 x 17 x 11.75 ); Southwest (19 x 19 x 9.5 ); United (17 x 10.5 x 20).*According to USA Today Travel Tips

Q: 5. Is there enough room for NIKON D300 with 28-70 lens attached, Leica with 50mm lens attached, and Zeiss distagon 25mm ? Also, does it fit under the airplane seat?

A: Room for the camera gear - but doubtful it will fit under an airplane seat.

Q: 6. I'm after the 1450 case which has a rubber over-molded handle, though I noticed that some photos of the cases don't have that feature. Can you explain why that's the case?

A: I'm not sure what photos you are referring to, but I can tell you that all Pelican cases have similar handles.....however they can vary slightly among different cases. You may need to think about a particular color for your 1450 to get the handle you want. Good luck!

Q: 7. its possible to put an 27-inch iMac with Retina 5K display in the pelican 1630, or i need the pelican 1730? thx!!!

A: I bought it exactly to fit an 27-inch iMac just like yours. It fits just right. It's a little tricky, because you must remove almost every piece of the pick-n-pluck foam. You do get padding on the edges, just enough to protect from the hard plastic. I had an international fight and a some others domestic ones, and everything came right. Since it is very deep, I even had space to fit keyboard, my Wacom tablet and some external hard drives on the other layers of foam under the actual iMac.

Q: 8. Will the blackmagic pcc6k fit in this case?

A: Yes, while you will not have a lot of room for much else a Pocket Cinema Camera 6K will fit.

Q: 9. Could you put a Macbook Pro 16 / 2021 in this case? Thanks!

A: The cut out area of the foam is too small. If you remove the foam it'll fit. The Nanuk 923 is a better choice. https://bhpho.to/3mnQxUb

Q: 10. How much foam margin is there along the interior sides with the Pick-and-Pluck foam? I want to be able to put a Mackie 802VLZ4 mixer in here, at 10.7 x 8.9 x 1.8. It should fit, according to the dimensions given here, but the Pelican custom foam builder says it won't.

A: The foam has a snug fit but I very compressible. I've found that you can squish the 1/2 cube down to 1/8 . That's if you don't care to take your cargo in and out often. I give my gear two or three cubes for easy in and out. The overall gap between the foam and the side is about 1/16 or so. Hope that helps.

[Handle] We use this case to carry two laptops with power supplies, a digital camera with accessories, and related cables and equipment. It makes sense to spend a couple hundred dollars to protect more than $4000 of gear. The pick-n-pluck foam makes it easy to configure the case. Here's a hint: once you have the foam removed as desired for your equipment, use contact cement to glue the foam layers together for more solid support. The rollers and pull out handle complete the package, making it easy to transport. This is the third Pelican case I've bought this year, and it won't be the last. These things are practically bulletproof, and provide great protection at a reasonable price. Once configured and loaded it's not light, but the rollers and pull-out handle save your back.

[Universal] Pelican cases always hold up and are very easy to custom fit equipment in. I have used other cases and nothing compares to Pelican unless you want to spend 3 times as much having a custom case built. I have an Audio Visual company and use these cases for projectors and other high value electronics. ...

[7.845 lb] I use this case to store my demo equipment: document camera, two netbooks, wireless slate, router, and 30 handheld clicker devices with all of their power/USB cables. It is perfect and allows me peace of mind when I'm checking it in at the airport. The roller wheels make it easy to maneuver and get from baggage claim to the rental car.

[Black] The 1620 is a great case. Its very deep which seemed like over kill at first, but I have fit it out to hold all of my gear vertically. By doing this you can fit more things and actually have it stay safer then fitting it resting on the top of the case. Over all great product.
