[Handheld Only] Stashing your small [and precious] camera inside a larger bag? Aside from offering just the right amount of protection, this pouch is extremely elegant. (Sorry to be so superficial;-) Very, very well made.

[Black] Hold my Leica Q with a leather half case, strap and an extra battery with a bit of room to spare. Can just throw this into my backpack and offers nice protection for the camera against scratches and bumps. Nice leather and beautifully made. The elastic strap is firm and seems like it will hold up.

[Handheld Only] I drop my camera into these pouches, then into a backpack. These fold down to minimal size, so they take little room when not in use. Other uses are for lenses. The canvas version is in like new condition after 5 years use, the leather should last a lifetime.

[Black] Nice, simple, very functional Japanese design with lots of interior space. Worth the price premium, which had me hesitate for several months trying cheaper solutions that I was not happy with. Got the red color because it stands out on a crowded desk area, on a shelf to the side of computer, and red says Japan. Holds a point-and-shoot Leica, which I usually slip in a coat pocket when I go out. Not yet used the camera pouch for train or other travel, but should work well with
backpack, tote, messenger bag, etc. Overall excellent quality.

[Black] Anyone wondering about size, the ACAM-77 fits a Leica Typ 240 with 50mm lens very nicely.

It is well made and a touch classier than the neoprene wraps.

[Drawstring] Very happy with this purchase. I own several Artisan & Artist accessories/bags/straps now, and the ACAM-78 delivers the same quality and thoughtfulness of all their other products.


I think of their products as the perfect blend of aesthetics and function, and this little bag lives up to their name.


The leather feels tough but still soft and flexible, and the navy blue nylon lining is smooth and seems easy to clean. There is a thin layer of padding between the leather and interior fabric, and this layer feels thickest on the front and back of the bag.


I'm able to fit my Leica M and a small or medium sized M lens with room to spare. With a small lens, I feel I could probably tuck another small lens in here too inside of a fitted neoprene lens pouch.


More likely, I'll keep my filter pouch in here.


My only question is how well the elastic band will hold up over the years. It's a snug fit, and requires both hands to close up the bag. So if there's one drawback, it's that it does take a moment to get the bag open and closed. But, the obvious upside is there's no chance of the bag opening during transport. It should work great for taking my camera in and out of a larger bag a couple times a day, but this design would be a drawback in a shoulder strap bag or satchel where you need quick-draw access.
