Capture full 360° panoramic shots with the Neewer GM16 Motorized Tripod Pan Head for Videofrom Neewer. This motorized pan system is controllable remotely via app, letting you determine the degree angle of rotation, the panning speed, the number of loops, and more. The head supports payloads up to 4.4 lb vertically or up to 22 lb horizontally. The two mounting points are the 3/8"-16 thread underneath and the 1/4"-20 mounting screw on top. This head supports continuous operation by receiving 5V/2A USB power or using the included NP-F battery, which gives you up to three hours of runtime.

Q: 1. Is there a remote I can use with this tripod head that will zoom?

A: Unfortunately, a zoom remote would have to be connected directly to the camera so it wouldn't work on the CamRanger MP-360 Motorized Pan/Tilt Tripod Head.

Q: 2. I have the camranger and I am thinking of getting the PT hub and the motorized pan head. My question is will I be able to level my camera from my iPad with the camranger app? Or is there any auto level feature on this device combo?

A: There is not an auto level feature for this. You can level your camera from the app.

Q: 3. Will it follow you?

A: It does not have an automatic follow me feature.

Q: 4. Can this sit on a flat surface or does it have to be mounted on a tripod?

A: It can but not real steady, i highly reccomend a small tripod if you need it close to a flat surface.

Q: 5. Are you able to choose rotation angle? i.e. press button to turn 10 degrees?

A: Not that we are aware of. This product offers the ability to change the rotation speed, but we are not aware of it allowing you to precisely dial in an angle to go to. You would have to do that manually.

Q: 6. Is it possible to add some extension for Power Panner Remote Control to be able to control attached camera from MegaMast 27.5'? Thank you

A: There is also a 50 ft cable BERE50

Q: 7. Will this work for astrophotography?

A: Not just the head, all the controls are manual and the movements are to fast. There may be an additional controller for it that would allow you to do that. But alone is just manual pan and tilt with the controller. Hope that helps.Todd

Q: 8. Is there any way to make this to be controlled wirelessly?

A: Yes, with the purchase of the CamRanger PT Hub AND the purchase of the CamRange (not the MP-360 & not the PT Hub, online searches can get confusing).The CamRanger provides the wireless connection to an iPad (any iOS device running latest iOS) and allows remote control of the camera functions by itself, but does not provide remote control of the MP-360. This device costs about $300-$350.The PT Hub connects the MP-360 to the CamRanger so the MP-360 can be controlled from an iPad using CamRanger application. This device costs about $120. Both the CanRanger and the PT Hub are needed to wirelessly control the MP-360 motorized tripod head.The CamRanger web site indicates an Android version of the CamRanger software is in the works.

Q: 9. Is there a external rechargeable power unit for remote locations?

A: It doesn't, so I purchased a Goal Zero YETI portable battery power source. I actually have 2 of them, the 150 and the 400 (for extended use). They both work well and give the Gimbal plenty of power.

Q: 10. is there a demo video?

A: There are no official videos. However, an internet search will show consumer videos regarding the head. Unfortunately, we cannot vouch for these videos.

[2.65 lb] I was a little hesitant about purchasing this unit based off some of the negative reviews, however, I'm very glad I did! The unit works flawlessly and just as described in the description. I've used the CamRanger on several sporting events and love it! I even dropped it while still attached to the tripod and other than a few scratches, still works perfectly. Im thinking about buying another one for my second setup. If I had anything "bad" to say, it would be I wish the remote cable was 10 ft instead of 6. I understand you can purchase more cable and that's the next item on my list. There are certain setups that you'll need over 6 ft cable to get the job done. Overall. I LOVE this CamRanger and will continue supporting B&H and all products they recommend. 5
