Q: 1. Is there a reason to not use the wide angle adapter ring for non-wide angle lenses?

A: You can use the wide angle adapter ring on non-wide angle lenses.

Q: 2. MY Lee WA 77mm adapter ring will not screw into my new Nikon 300mm F4 E PF VR lens which I bought from B & H. It screws into my 20mm, 24-70, 16-35 and 70-200mm lenses without a problem. Does this new lens require a standard 77mm Adapter ring rather than the WA adapter ring ?

A: mine screw into 70-200mm fine, i don't have 300mm. But i actually have difficult to screw out it from my 70-200mm, so i just leave it on.

Q: 3. I want to get this adapter and LEE filter holder. I want to use a breakthrough solid ND filter 77mm on my Canon 24-105mm lens and add a LEE graduated ND filter to the holder. Is this setup possible? Thanks in advance.

A: It could work but it's not how its meant to be used. By doing so, you will darken your scene in your viewfinder and make it difficult to align the Grad filter with the horizon in your scene. You may also introduce vignetting in the corners. Its better to use the square Lee ND and Lee Grad filters in a Lee holder which is attach to your 77mm lens via a Lee 77mm adapter ring. Then place the Grad first to balance/darken the sky with the below scene, then add a ND to make a long exposure. Depending how dark is your ND Filter is, you will need calculate the number of stops introduced to your base exposure.Hope that helps.

Q: 4. Does this adapter fit on a canon 70x200 EF lens?

A: The LEE Filters 77mm Wide-Angle Lens Adapter Ring for 100mm System Filter Holder does fit the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS III USM Lens.

Q: 5. is there any disadvantage to using a WA adapter instead of a standard adapter (other than the price difference)? Can it interfere with ones focus ring etc.?

A: I have not found any difference. Maybe the std adaptor is a bit easier to mount. I actually own both, but only really use the WA adapter ring.

Q: 6. work with fujinon 23 mm f4. mdium format?

A: It is not recommended for medium format lenses, this system is designed to work and function properly with APS-C and full-frame sized cameras and lenses.

Q: 7. Does it work with Sony 24-105 f4 lens?

A: Yes this adapter can work on the Sony FE 24-105mm f/4 lenses.

Q: 8. I own a Lee SW150 kit for my Nikon 14-24mm. I intend to purchase a Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 lens. Which 77mm adapter ring will I need for the Nikon 24-70mm lens? The regular or wide angle? Thanks. Steve G.

A: The regular 77mm adapter ring will suffice for the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 lens. Vignette typically begins to occur with focal lengths wider than 24mm. You can find the standard size 77mm adapter ring for LEE kits here: http://bhpho.to/1d58tGP

Q: 9. I have this 77mm wide adapter. Can I use it for another lens with a 67mm filter thread? Are there any step down rings by Lee?

A: I am not aware of a ring adaptor to convert 77 to 67mm. I do have a specific 67mm ring that I use on the same Lee holder that fits my 77mm lens.

Q: 10. Do I have to purchase a separate adapter ring for each filter size 77mm,82mm

A: Yes you will need an adapter ring for each separate filter thread sized lens.

[77 mm] Kade Wolverine filter is awesome. It is so light weight and have very strong magnets. It great to get the heavy weight from my 100mm filter system off my lens.

[77 mm] It's a small thin adapter ring that gives Kase magnetic filters something to stick to. A warning, though: be sure the filters are fully stuck before letting go. The magnetic attraction isn't all that strong unless the filters are fully seated in the adapter. The ring is thin enough that lens shades can still slide over it without problems. It's a nice, convenient system that makes filter usage easy and quick.

[Aluminum] Well built. The magnet is strong, and the ring is very thin.

[Aluminum] Whether it be a Kase Wolverine neutral density filter, or Magnetic Lens Cap you want to fit, the process all starts with this little blighter.. Ingenious, allowing the original lens hoods to be fitted either way, my experience is limited to Nikon, Zeiss, Fuji, Sigma, Olympus and Hasselblad lenses. I am sure there will be one out there, but I haven't found it yet!
