Q: 1. what is the image circle for this lens?

A: The Schneider Xenon 25mm f/0.95 C-Mount Lens for 1-Inch CCD (B&H# SC2595X) is designed to cast an image circle upon a 1" sensor, that is, one that is approximately 12.8 x 9.6mm. The image circle itself is 16mm in diameter with the edge exhibiting some vignetting.

Q: 2. Should my focus ring be more accurate? When my focus ring is set to 7' focus is actually at 5'. When I set to 4' focus is 2' 8 . I do tend to measure my manual focus lenses and this is my first I feel I can't trust. I do feel infinity focus seems a bit soft, is it possible I'm not able to get infinity focus if the actual focus distance is shorter then marked? Wondering if I should return... anyone else test the focus ring accuracy?

A: In my decades of being a motion picture camera assistant, this was a situation the we had to look our for. The problem is either the lens is out of collimation or the lens mount flange depth is off. If both are correct, Infinity is Infinity and 5' is 5'. I would suggest that it is the lens and that you should exchange it if you bought it from B&H less than 30 days ago.Contact B&H Customer service to do so. A: There will be no lens cap included in the box with this lens.

A: The Kowa C-Mount 6mm f/1.8-16 1" HC Series Fixed Lens Minimum Focus Distance From Camera Sensor: 0.32' / 0.10 m or 3.84".

Q: 5. I have KOWA TSN-880 w/TE-11WZ; does Digidapter fit Canon R5 and if so, does R5 need specific camera lens for it to work?

Q: 6. It is compatible with nikon D5600?

A: No it is not compatible with your Nikon camera. This lens offers a C mount often found on industrial and surveillance box type cameras.

Q: 7. Does anybody have recommendations on a front filter adapter so I can add an ND filter? Something small? Thanks!

A: Sorry, but wide angle lenses need large filters in order that the filter holders are not photographed. B&H does not seem to have a suitable filter holder at this time. However, here is a clamp that may work. http://bit.ly/19azXhK

Q: 8. There is a lot of kowa 6 mm c mount out there as I saw , what is the main difference? I want to use it with bolex h16 .

A: The Bolex H16 does have a C-mount that could work with the C-Mount of the Kowa LM6JC C-Mount 6mm Fixed Lens. However, this is a 2/3 sensor lens and you may experience vignetting.

A: With a 1" Sensor this lens has the following angle of views: Vertical: 79.4° Horizontal: 96.8° Diagonal: 108.4°

Q: 10. Will this lens fit on a Non-Reflex Bolex H16 Standard?

A: This will fit a Bolex H-16 that has a C-mount ss opposed to the similar models that offer a bayonet mount.

[-0.6 % (TV)] Look at all the cinema lenses on the market. Most of the good ones are thousands of dollars. For under $400 you can have a TRUE cinema lens that produces a high quality image. Plus, the Meike is small and easy to use...get one...you will change the way you shoot forever! 5

[0.98' (0.30 m)] I have 2 Bmpcc 4ks. One I use with metabones .64 and full frame glass. The other with MFTs and usually the Ronin S. IMO the functionality of the 270 degree focus throw and smooth iris beats out having superior photography glass in most situations. I find in controlled environments the Meike is amazing. Focus breathing is minimal and the build quality is amazing at this price point. 5

[Manual] When I bought my Sony A7III, the lens I wanted was back-ordered. So, I initially bought this lens thinking it would be something inexpensive to play around with while I was waiting for my other lens. I had never had a fully manual lens before but it was inexpensive and I said what the heck and got one. Boy, was I surprised. The pictures and videos are awesome - especially in low light. I have shot star trails with it and night time city lights that f4 lenses are just meh at and it handled it just great. A little soft around the edges but who pays much attention to the edges. I often put a slight vignette on the edges to pull peoples attention to the center anyway. I mean, come on man! This thing costs $299! The quality vs the cost are off the chart. This little sucker is heavy for its size. Very sturdy build quality. Im so happy I made this purchase. 5

[C-mount] A great, sharp ultra wide lens for the BMPCC with low chromatic abberation and distortion. It covers the BMPCC and Panasonic GH4 4K sensor. Downside is that this lens has no front filter thread, but if you search diligently enough one of the anamorphic lens holders will clamp onto it. 5

[Φ11 mm] This is my opinion as well as guess that Veydra has transferred to a new brand or have sold their manufacturing set up to where it was originally produced (China). There are two videos on youtube comparing the 25mm and they are an exact match. I own the 85 mm and it is longer that their 85 that matches in their picture. They will have a cinema set matching Veydras exactly. 12, 16, (minus) the 19, 25 ,35 ,50 & 85 (shorter). 5

[f/1.6-16] I used this lens on a cross-country road trip, using the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera on a suction mount inside the cabin of a truck. Even looking through the window glass, when I switched lenses from a high end Nikkor Zoom to the Kowa 6mm, during the edit, you could see the marked jump in acuity. Given the lack of filter potential (a weakness for a native ISO 800 camera) I could only use this lens at the very beginning and end of the day when shooting in the truck. There was no room for a matte box system, needed to get an ND working. This lens will stand up to most any prime lens, and is a welcome (wide angle, finally!) addition to any pro shooting situation with the Pocket Cinema Camera. 5
