Add numerous accessories to the top of your Sony BURANO, VENICE 1, VENICE 2, RIALTO 1, or RIALTO 2 camera rig with this OCTAMAS SWISS Cage Base Set for Sony BURANOfrom OCTAMAS gear. Part of the OCTAMAS gear SWISS Cage system, the aluminum plate mounts onto the top of the camera, and it provides multiple 3/8"-16 ARRI-style anti-twist mounts, as well as 1/4"-20 and M4 accessory threads. It is compatible with separately available ARRI-standard dovetail plates. Also included are four riser threads that can be used to ensure an optical center with optional 15mm top mounts.

A: You can screw the SmallRig Arca-Swiss/Manfrotto-Type Mounting Plate Set onto the quick-release plates that you already have (in the same place where you screw a camera). However, if you want to replace the quick-release plate and use the SmallRig directly on your 502 fluid head and/or XPro Geared head, then it won't work. It is not compatible.

A: Yes, the ball flips completely 90 degrees to the side. It will hold steady.Generally speaking if you use portrait mode a lot, you may want to get an L bracket. It's much easier to get all lined up when you can just put your camera on top already in portrait mode.

A: I like this head. After setting the base to horizontal, I can rotate the head 360 degrees and the horizon level is kept. This doesn't happen with other heads I used before. Definitely a keeper for me.

[Black] Do you need it? I don't know. Do you want it? Most definitely!! I was hesitant before pulling the trigger on this. I considered how lazy you'd have to be to not want to screw you tripod head onto tripod legs but in the same breath, a wise person once said "buy once, cry once" You'll wonder how you've worked without this. Comes well packaged and tools included :) 5

I'm often between different rigs and it's so great to just have to twist once and s switch mounts with out having to twist your tripod entire tripod head off one thing and twist if on to another thing. Super simple with these! I love the slim profile too so there's no significant height added if you don't need it! You won't regret buying these! 5

[Aluminum] First camera cage system from BT and it's awesome. I bought the original Kasbah system alongside the Misfit kick back in the day and was impressed by the functionality, quality, and their efforts to keep things light weight while still strong/solid. When it came time to get a cage for the Burano, I knew I wanted to try BT over the other options that were first to market apon its launch. The side rails connecting top and bottom inspire confidence for mounting things pretty much anywhere on the rig. The sliding top plate is slick, I'm getting another one for quick swaps to my movi alongside a BUD plate for the bottom. The D handle is solid and comfy. Paired with my Kasbah shoulder rig, its the quickest to build and comfiest to shoulder all day compared to other systems I've tried/built in my AC days. You won't regret it! Also the customer service is TOP with BT. They just called me within 15 mins to get clarification on a support email I sent regarding plate compatibility. Who does that these days?! 5
