Add numerous accessories to the top of your Sony BURANO, VENICE 1, VENICE 2, RIALTO 1, or RIALTO 2 camera rig with this OCTAMAS SWISS Cage Advanced Set for Sony BURANOfrom OCTAMAS gear. Part of the OCTAMAS gear SWISS Cage system, the aluminum plate mounts onto the top of the camera, and it provides multiple 3/8"-16 ARRI-style anti-twist mounts, as well as 1/4"-20 and M4 accessory threads. It is compatible with separately available ARRI-standard dovetail plates. Also included are four riser threads that can be used to ensure an optical center with optional 15mm top mounts.

However, if you want to replace the quick-release plate and use the SmallRig directly on your 502 fluid head and/or XPro Geared head, then it won't work. It is not compatible.

[Black] This unit is solid, it mounts firmly, gives you a bunch of auxiliary power out options and most importantly I have had no voltage issues. I've been using it for over a year, powering the camera and my Bolt 3000. The negative review is unfounded. It uses the DC power in port and not the native battery connection but who cares! You're not going to use that port for anything when you're shooting. Reliability and technical interface are the important components. This hits the mark for both at a very reasonable price. 5

[Aluminum] Amazing cage, great quality and very light but feels strong and sturdy. Used on a couple shoots with fx6 and its something I will have on on every shoot for a very long time. I will continue to update rig and add others bits soon. 5

[Black] First camera cage system from BT and it's awesome. I bought the original Kasbah system alongside the Misfit kick back in the day and was impressed by the functionality, quality, and their efforts to keep things light weight while still strong/solid. When it came time to get a cage for the Burano, I knew I wanted to try BT over the other options that were first to market apon its launch. The side rails connecting top and bottom inspire confidence for mounting things pretty much anywhere on the rig. The sliding top plate is slick, I'm getting another one for quick swaps to my movi alongside a BUD plate for the bottom. The D handle is solid and comfy. Paired with my Kasbah shoulder rig, its the quickest to build and comfiest to shoulder all day compared to other systems I've tried/built in my AC days. You won't regret it! Also the customer service is TOP with BT. They just called me within 15 mins to get clarification on a support email I sent regarding plate compatibility. Who does that these days?! 5

[Black] I've tried everything for my FX6 rig... believe me, and this really is the best option on the market. Unless you want significantly more weight to your rig, and cables galore; this is the one. But as always, nothing is perfect. The only negatives I've found are that the top 15mm rod adapter on the right side (camera-right) can't be mounted on the back spot without removing the rear shoulder strap mount. Also, if you're using the camera-left side d-tap port on the v-mount plate, the cable blocks the media slots, which isn't a huge deal but it can get annoying. Everything else is perfect. You can't go wrong. 5

[Black] This cage kit is an incredible deal in my opinion. You get so much! The fit and finish is excellent. Honestly there are several things that I am not even using. Or that I may use on other kits on my other cameras. I really like the aesthetic as well. Looks good! 5
