The 67mm Freewell M2 Magnetic ND Filter 67mm 2-Stopfrom Freewell M2 Magnetic ND Filter 67mm 2-Stopoffers 2-stops of light reduction with the convenience of their magnetic quick-swapping system. Once the magnetic frame is screwed onto the front of your lens, different filters can be attached, removed, or swapped out quickly and conveniently. The reduction in light offered by the ND filter makes it easier to use lower shutter speeds or higher apertures in brighter conditions while also preserving colors and detail.

The German optical glass construction and multilayer coating make the filter scratch and oil resistant as well as water- and dust-proof. The included filter pouch and lens cap help you further protect your filter when shooting on the go and switching between densities.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I am looking to purchase a 67mm lens but most of my existing filters are 77mm. If I use a 67-77 mm step up ring for filters then the canon lens hood can’t be used. Could I use this 67 mm rubber hood with the step up ring attached to the hood? If so, will there be any impact to the image?

A: You would more likely want to use a hood based on the 77mm size of the filter. That way the step up ring will not have fitting issues with the inside of the hood.

Q: 2. Will other brand EF lenses with autofocus continue to work with this adapter?

A: All EF lenses with autofocus Will work same way as on an SLR. The adapter only compensates for the shorter flange distance of the mirrorless body. in addition the filter slot makes easy to use one drop-in filter for every lens no matter the size of the front lens thread.

Q: 3. Will this fit a 35-70mm lens?

A: If you are referring to the Nikon AF Zoom-Nikkor 35-70mm f/2.8D then no, this lens cap will not fit. You would need a 62mm lens cap. I hope that helps but without knowing which 35-70mm lens you are talking about it is difficult to answer with any accuracy.

Q: 4. will this fit a z6ii 24-200 mm lens?

A: Yes, the Nikon 67mm Snap-on lens cap will accommodate the Nikon 24-120 lens.

Q: 5. Does this speedboost the lens or its a regular adapter?

A: The Canon Drop-In Filter Mount Adapter EF-EOS R with Variable ND Filter is not a speed booster adapter.

Q: 6. For the 67mm, does it work with Tamron 28-75 2.8 RXD for Sony Full Frame? I saw a similar review but unsure if it was this specific lens.

A: My experiences only with a Canon G15 and a Bower 58mm lens adaptor AND this Rubber lens hood. Vignetting was bothersome at wide 28mm zoom position (widest for G15) My solution was to purchase a 58mm Sensei screw-on Tulip lens hood. Vignetting was much reduced but still can be seen slightly at the 28mm wide angle setting. By cropping the images, we can live with the problem.

Q: 7. I have lost the lens cap for my Nikkor AF-S 18-70mm 1:3.5-4.5G ED lens. Is this the cap that I need as a replacement?

A: Yes, the Nikkor 18-70mm uses a 67mm filter thread so this lens cap will work for you.

Q: 8. Hello, I would like to know if a 2mm-thick filter is working with this mattebox ?

A: This matte box allows for the use of two 4x4" filters. It should accept any filter that is 4x4" in size.

Q: 9. Can it be used together with other adapters for EF to GFX?

A: Yes, mounting is possible when using more than one adapter. However, from our tests, the results have been wildly variable - from inoperability to semi-operability based on the make of the adapter, the firmware versions employed by lens, camera, and adapter, etc. As such, we cannot fully endorse such a combination.

Q: 10. Can a filter of the same thread diameter be used with the lens hood in place?

A: Yes, you can attach the filter to the lens first and then the hood on top or attach the hood first and then screw the filter into the hood.

[0.675 lb] These are better than any similar variable ND I've used. They are better built, spin smoother, and look better too.

[0.675 lb] Got this for my trip to the Pacific North-West. Took this to multiple national parks in Washington and Oregon. They worked as advertised and even after some rough handling have not had any scratches yet.

If I had to purchased this again, I can confidently state that I will get the same product again 100%. Thanks B&H for shipping me this item quickly before my trip begun.

[0.675 lb] Searching for quality ND filters can be an endless journey. They range in price from around $30 to well over $200 each. Of course, like many people, I thought about getting Peter McKinnon ND filters. But, the problem with any product named after someone, the price is usually higher based on who the person is.

When it came time to invest in higher quality ND filters, I knew I'd be paying a lot more than usual. Then one day, while searching for ND filter reviews on YouTube, I came across one for Freewell. So, I took the chance and bought a 2-5 stop variable ND filter by Freewell. It cost $109. Which was way more than I've paid in the past, yet substantially cheaper than the $249 ND filters branded as Peter McKinnon.

Suffice it to say, I am extremely happy with my choice. I've gone on to buy more ND filters and a Polarizing filter from Freewell. I don't experience any vignetting or strange color shifts.

I highly recommend Freewell filters. I think you will be happy with the results.

[Glass] I've standardized on this 82mm size with magnetic step ups on smaller lenses. It's great having one set of filters and that's it, no matter which lenses you're bringing along for the day. Being magnetic and quick means you're more likely to use them instead of just lazily skipping filters because the threaded ones are so tedious.
