A: For my understanding, this particular Genustech Clamp On adapter 80 mm ring is a 'stand alone' clamp on adapter that will only work with a modified lens type or those Duclos Lens, in which I never had used one before. It will not work with any type of screw in adapters or screw on lens. I had ordered this adapter once before and hope that it would work on both my Canon lens and Samyang (Tokinon South east asia title?) with a screw on adapter lens for various size. But it doesn't work. So i had to order screw on adapter ring instead to be able to fit on my Genus Tech matt box.Hope this help.

[0.05 lb] I have an inexpensive mattebox (camtree) that has a swing away on the rails. I can remove the swing away mechanism to try and convert it to a clamp on but I couldn’t find a ring that would allow me step up from 95 to 114 and allow me enough flange to clamp the box on. This works perfectly. I can screw it onto a lens and now i can clamp the box on. It’s very secure and I recommend it as a conversion kit for swing away matte boxes that have a clamp feature. It’s like they built the box with this in mind but forgot to sell a kit. 5

[0.05 lb] It's lightweight, decent quality plastic, and has good cutouts for size adjustment. My favorite part is the lip which prevents the mattebox from sitting too far on the lens or making contact with the glass filters. I was able to use my existing Sensei 77mm step up rings because they have an outside diameter of 80mm. Will be buying more in the future for other lens sets. 5

[Clamp] This allows me to throw my matte box on my sigma 150-600, which is crucial - lets me use my Schneider tru polarizer which gives me more DR in the sky, and better colors. 5

[Clamp] Love this Matte Box I use the VND 1-9 stop with this. The NiSi filter work great with no color shift. We will see how it holds up. I wish NiSi would make a 3 stage because you can't use the VND along with 4x5.65 and have any other filters like a mist etc.. Very happy with this purchase. 5

[80 mm] This is a great accessory and works perfectly. I have 3 lenses with an 80mm diameter. Rather than change it out for each lens, which can be a pain, I just spent $38 and bought two extra ; ) Does what it says it does. 5
