Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does the 100mm filter holder for Olympus 7-14mm lens take a CPL?

A: Yes you can use for example the Kase 100 x 100mm Skyeye CPL Filter BH #KASECPL44

Q: 2. I have the Lumix S 18mm and 35mm f1.8 Prime lenses. Would I be happy replacing both of them with this f4 lens?

A: The Panasonic Lumix S PRO 16-35mm f/4 Lens will allow you to easily zoom, so you won't have to switch lenses but the aperture is narrower at f/4. So it depends if you need the better quality in low light of those 1.8 lenses or f/4 is enough for your needs. If you take many photos in low light situations than you might want to stick with the lenses that you have.

Q: 3. Does it works on Leica SL2?

A: This does work on a Leica SL.

Q: 4. Where or what country made this filter? I know B+W is made in Germany and it clearly states it on the product.

A: Made in China. Good thing B&H told me because I tried to contact the company to ask them and received no response. Going back to B+W or Hoya.

Q: 5. Can I still use the lens cap on top of this filter?

A: Yes you can. You can as a 58mm lens cap on this filter such as B&H # SELC58. https://bhpho.to/2nTyzcg

Q: 6. Will this filter fit on the sigma 35 mm f/1.4?

A: Yes. As the Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens has 67mm filter threads, yes, the Chiaro 67mm 99-UVBTS Brass UV Filter, B&H # CHT99UVBTS67, would be compatible for use with the Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens.

Q: 7. Will the lens hood for the Lumix 100-400 Telephoto fit using this filter?

A: Yes, it will fit.

Q: 8. Does this help with weather resistance protection like the Fujifilm branded filter?

A: Yes, it does.

Q: 9. Does this have threads which would allow it to be used with a Sensei 49mm lens cap? Thank you

A: I'm sorry, no. A lens cap will not attach.

Q: 10. Does this lens have a static rear lens element at the mount for better weather sealing?

A: No, the rear element of the Panasonic Lumix S PRO 16-35mm f/4 Lens retracts inside the lens barrel, therefore we recomend keeping the rear cap on if the lens is not mounted on the camera.

[UV] Before buying this filter a saw lots of reviews of other cheaper filters and I decided to pay the extra money for this one after a saw the reviews. And it worth every single dollar. This filter fills very high quality because of the materials used and has no vignetting or color shift, at least for my 30mm lens and up. You want something with excellent performance and don’t want to break the bank, buy from NiSi.

[0.215 lb] Used it for the first time today to help darken storm clouds and appear more misty. Have not not used in any other situations. As day became lighter, I switched to a 9 stop ND filter to maintain the 30 to 40 second exposure value.

[52 mm] The NiSi 6-stop Nano filter lets one prolong the exposure speed. When mounting a camera on a tripod, one can use long exposures to flatten the appearance of waves on a lake or harbor, or give clouds in the sky the appearance of movement. The filter is well made and fits well to Nikon lenses.

[52 mm] I cannot believe the depth and saturation of color of my sunsets using this filter. NiSi also has a free APP called NiSi Filters that helps you chose the correct shutter speed. This takes some of the mystery out of using it.

[52 mm] When three stops are too little, and 10 stops are too much, six stops are just right. Kind of like Goldilocks' porridge experience.
