[1024 x 768] Great prompter,a big step up from the earlier ones.

[1024 x 768] This is a great prompter for pro-sumer studio operations. It fits well with our Sony EX3 and is a snap to set up and break down. It seems like this would be ideal for many different sized camera because of the adjustable platforms for both the camera and the monitor. May be a little bulky for field production.

[Yes] You do need a good tripod though (of course)

[1:1] I have been using this product for more than 9 months now and it works great. I produce a number of corporate videos each month, I needed something that was high quality, that worked right everytime. Corporate executive's time is very valuable, the last thing I needed was a prompter to not perform. There are enough other things to worry about on set or in studio, the prompter shouldn't be one of them. This product does just that. The software that comes with it works. It won't win any awards for being pretty or eye catching but it gets the job done. I would by this product again.

[1024 x 768] I use it with the Canon Xa10 and GH2 Panasonic. Good glass quality, and very sturdy The 17 Screen size is excellent for tapings when the prompter if a bit far from Host, easy to set-up and prompting software is getting the job done. Wished for an external usb or bluetooth controller to control speed scroll direction size and edit. Great product.

[Yes] I used an older 17 prompter from Prompter People back in the day, and while it worked well, I had some complaints, largely it being difficult to transport, bulky, and awkward to work with various cameras. The Flex-D-17 is great. It's simple, breaks down into two parts with just loosening some thumbscrews, and the rail system for mounting plates for the camera and tripod makes life a LOT easier than the old nuts-and-bolts method they used to use. I just did a shoot with an FS-100 using Sony Primes. We'd switch out lenses every half hour or so, and it was a simple process: undo the thumb screws, pop the glass and shroud off, put on the lens, reattach the shroud and glass, and it was done. Took about 1 minute for the entire process.

[65/35] I've been using teleprompters as a key component of my shoots for the last 4 years, and have relied on my ikan hdmi monitor style prompter ever since. The issue with that one is it relies on these tiny machine screws to keep the whole thing together, so there are a lot of weak spots where I've had to retap and re-screw to prevent it from crumbling. This PP branded prompter is a great replacement. All the same features of the computer-to-hdmi-to-monitor style control, but with one hinge that has a safety stop and minimal threaded weak points. Also I'm loving the 15 size and enhanced font!

[65/35] I wanted recommend this company and their products, to anyone in the market for a reliable prompting system. My company owns three Prompter People systems, a Q-Pro, a Flex Plus, and a set of presidential paddles. Our Q-Pro has been in service since 2007 and we are still using the original monitor. We have never unboxed the backup. The 17 Q-Pro has been all over the world. It is super simple to setup, and can be run in the field from a portable battery pack, all day. Our clients are very demanding and we don't have time to deal with temperamental equipment or software, which is why I recommend this company and their products so highly.
The reason I am leaving this review, is that I recently ordered a Flip-Q software dongle to replace one that came apart after 15 years of use. (Ironically, the software still worked, the USB drive just plugged in without its external case.) They immediately sent me a downloadable software license to use while the dongle was in transit and we never had an issue.
Everything is well made. We have NEVER had an issue or failure with electronics, or component parts. I rarely leave reviews, but when a company goes above and beyond from a service standpoint, and has a great product (multiple great products), I want to make sure other know about it.
