Stream high-resolution video from your SDI camera using this Magewell Ultra Encode SDI Encoder | Universal Streamingfrom Magewell. This compact encoder allows you to input resolutions up to 2K via the 3G-SDI port, encode to H.264/H.265 codecs, then stream via Wi-Fi or Ethernet to a variety of IP destinations such as Facebook Live, Twitch, and YouTube.

The encoder features analog input and output as well as the option to add USB modems for 4G/5G streaming from anywhere around the globe. It supports multiple streaming protocols, including RTSP, RTMP, SRT, NDI|HX2, and RTP, and it supports simultaneous dual streams from SD to 2K for main and sub streams. It also supports captions, timecode, and it can be remotely controlled via a web browser. The unit can be mounted using the included T-bracket with a 1/4"-20 thread or with its two M3 threads.

Q: 1. Could you connect a flash drive and have it directly record to it or does it need to go to a computer first?

A: That is not possible. This will first need to connect to a computer.

Q: 2. Does this work with Wirecast? Magewell's website does not have Wirecast listed on the compatibility list on the spec sheet for this particular model. The other Magewell products on the site list Wirecast!

A: Yes it is compatible with Wirecast.

Q: 3. Can you buy a spare mini bnc adapter cable for this product, THE BMD and Canare ones in micro mini bnc are not correct size. A spare would be important to have if you lose or break the included one?

A: Unfortunately, the part is not available through our store. The part could be requested Magewell support. MCX to SDI cable Part number: 90050.

Q: 4. How do you connect this device to stream through YouTube/Facebook? Is it through a stream key and server URL? Or would you use your FB/YT login credentials?

A: This connects directly to RTMP services like YouTube Live, Facebook Live and Twitch.

Q: 5. How can we add a large monitor to watch the video on large screen?

A: The Magewell Director Mini Compact Live Streaming Encoder, Switcher, Monitor & Recorder has a USB-C video output which can be used with a USB-C to HDMI cable.

Q: 6. Can I stream with it on YouTube?

A: No, the YoloLiv Instream Vertical Live Streaming Encoder and Monitor does not yet have the ability to stream to YouTube.

Q: 7. Could you conceivably stream multiple cameras using multiple Magewell dongles on the same laptop?

A: It is possible, but you would need a very powerful computer to be able to handle multiple of such a capture device. Not sure it would be optimal with a laptop.

Q: 8. Will this work with the Sony FS7 since the FS7 does PsF?

A: Yes, Any product that requires a progressive input will have issues working with PsF cameras. We suggest working with the Decimator MDHX framerate converter which allows your camera to output a progressive signal https://bhpho.to/3sKUjKt

Q: 9. I am trying to use this with the ATEM studio switcher and connect it with the program out sdi of the switcher. But the sdi cable that the magwell comes with would not fit the ATEM switcher. Do you know what kind of cable I need?

A: You need to use a short sdi cable with bnc connectors. I use it with the same setup as yours and works fine.

Q: 10. Can I use to stream with BlackMagic ATEM TV Studio INSTEAD of BM Web Presenter?

A: Yes it can be used with Atem Tv studio. We use it with Webex as well which is super picky about capture cards. Also have used it to do Facebook live on many occasions

[Analog] The ability to control this from a phone, tablet, web browser or API make this the Ultimate All-In-One. No longer are you stuck tapping your YoloBox for every little scene change or video roll. Overall the UI and features are really nicely done. It's intuitive and simple to use. The community forum on FB has been great for sharing tips and tricks. If you're hesitating, don't. This box is a game changer. 5

[9.5 x 6 x 2.5"] Used this with a PTZ Optics camera and it was plug, play and stream! SDI adapter cable looks fragile so will be securing it accordingly. It did not like being plugged into a USB hub but could have been a compatibility issue or simply too many devices on a single connection. 5

[1.385 lb] Plug and play, works well and doesn’t require driver installation with Windows 10. My only complaint is that the SDI input into the Magewell is a MCX port. The included cable is a MCX to female BNC but is very thin and if damaged, I’m sure I’d have to do some searching or contact Magewell for a replacement. I really wish the card was larger in size and had the standard BNC female connector. 5

[Device: 7.16 W] I purchase it as a 2 channel HDMI QAM modulator, Video quality is amazing, now i realized that I can also use it for IPTV streaming over our network, we streem 2 programs from Direct Tv Set top box to any of our 240 computers in our building , I search the net , i would need to pay more just for the IP streamers - good value 5

[5 to 90% ()] I am amazed at this little beast. It has amazing build quality, great software and capabilities, and constant firmware updates that keep improving it. Would l love a bigger screen? Yes, but you can manage the device on a bigger screen or even remotely. Totally worth. 5

[Analog] Initial impression: very good. Built like a tank. Overlays intuitive and easy to use. Test stream to YouTube live in no time. Colors on recording are a bit muted compared to camera output, but not too far off. Have bought and returned other similar devices. Will be keeping this. Looking forward to a version with a larger and brighter screen. 5
