Q: 1. Nikon 70-200 f4

A: I have the Nikon 70-200 2.8 so I'm not sure. Sorry!

Q: 2. For the 67mm model, what is the diameter of the hood when collapsed and uncollapsed, respectively?

A: The 67mm hood is 1/2 inch when collapsed, and 1 and 1/2 inches when open.

Q: 3. Which lens cap fits AF-S DX Nikkor 18-105mm 1:3.5-56G ED.

A: Any 67mm snap on lens cap such as this one will work just fine for your AF-S DX Nikkor 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED lens.

Q: 4. will this fit a z6ii 24-200 mm lens?

A: Yes, the Nikon 67mm Snap-on lens cap will accommodate the Nikon 24-120 lens.

Q: 5. Which lens cap fits the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-300mm 1:3.5-6.3 G ED VR?

A: I have the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 70-300mm, 1:4.5-5.6 G and the Nikon 67 mm lens cap us what I use.

Q: 6. Is there any reason this 67mm B+W rubber hood will not work on a canon 70-200 F4/L IS zoom. I hike and shoot in wooded/rocky areas. It may provide added protection to my lens. ?

A: If the size, 67mm, matches your lense, it will most likely work. I purchased to install on a new Nikon P900, to have some protection from side bumps, etc . and reduce side light reflections, but I also installed a 0 Filter inside this hood to help protect the actual lens glass. Have seen no problems with the quality of the pictures taken, but when my long zoom lens on this camera is at my normal wide angle setting, I have to fold the rubber hood back or will get the rounded corners showing up in the pictures. I also fold the hood when storing in my small camera case which it does very easily.

Q: 7. Will this lens hood work on a Nikon p900 ?

A: You can use it , it might vignette on wide angle , if that happens you can push the hood inwards

Q: 8. Are these made of "soft" rubber, or is there a fair amount of stiffness? Example - if I rest my camera on a flat surface, will the weight of most standard lenses collapse the bottom of the hood? Trying to get an idea for how much "flex" these rubber hoods have.

A: If resting your camera on a flat surface, the #900 Rubber Lens Hood would flex slightly.

Q: 9. Does this lens hood work for a Nikon P900?

A: In 18mm you might have problem with the hood vignetting, but the beauty about it, is you can collapse it to remove the vignette. On photographing at a extra wide lens setting, the hood can slide back out of the way in an instant. The best thing about it is that you can screw it onto the outside of your circular polarizer and it makes adjusting more easy by rotating the hood.

Q: 10. I need t a new lens cap (original) for my AF-S Nikkor 18-200mm lens. Could you advise which size I should get? I can't see one specifically for that lens. Thanks

A: If you go to the BHPhoto web site and look up the Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II Lens specifications::You will see that the filter mount is 72mm. This is the size of the lens cap you should buy.

[Glass] I've been refining my ultra slow photography techniques for about a year now and figured it was time to graduate to 'the beast' - Firecrest's Nd1600. The results are amazing with the clarity I was hoping for, minimal barreling and silky smooth threading onto my lens.

Ultra slow photography is the most technically challenging in my photo skill set (I use a Pluto Trigger to do the math for me) and having a reliable 16 stop filter to rely on helps keep me focused on the art rather than the techno details.

[Glass] Rotating polas require turning to achieve the optimal effect, I choose the linear pola, no turning, just drop in your matte box and shoot.

[Glass] Highly recommended.

I purchased a 4-stop ND filter (1.2). It never comes off my Sigma 105mm f/1.4.

Practically all my headshots and portraits (250 clients) since the purchase were taken with this filter. I can keep the shutter speed in a reasonable range with strobes (1/30 -- 1/200) without relying on high-speed sync. I can also keep the strobes at a reasonable range (1/4 -- 1/128), which wouldn't be possible without a 4-stop loss of light transmission.

Other ND filters have funky colors - maybe I was lucky but this one has not created any noticeable color shift. Thank you Formatt!!

[Glass] For those who don’t know, British company Formatt was acquired by Tokina a few years ago. Tokina also started to make their own black supermist filter. I took a gamble and bought Formatt (and a 1/16) since they’ve been making filters longer. I don’t have any Tokina’s to compare but the quality is good. The 1/8 halation is nice and contrast reduction is just right for me.. I also like the Formatt’s pouch and magnetic seal.

[Glass] I was on a short road trip and used this alone, and with the Formatt Hitech 10 stop ND filter. The results were superb in both cases - no colour cast. An added benefit of the Formatt filter is it is very thin, so vignetting is less of an issue. I would encourage people to take a filter wrench, just in case...

[Glass] Another ND filter in my tool kit. Different brands can produce somewhat different effects. Some people like it, other's don't. I prefer to look at it as another option when making my picture. It is nice to have options. Optical quality is awesome, and that is what matters.

[Glass] I didn't see any reviews here, so I'd chime in:

I purchased this with the Sigma 105mm f/1.4, and surprised that it has no noticeably color cast (compared to some ND filters for my 85mm lens).

I'm quite satisfied. The glass is very thin and light, like 30-50% of the weight of a UV filter for the same diameter.

I use this to get wider apertures in the studio setting, given that my strobes can remain fairly strong, and the ambient lighting can either be cut at higher shutter speeds (1/200) or introduced at lower speeds (1/30-1/60). A joy to use.
