Q: 1. does this include the rods and lens gear?

Q: 2. The included Edelkrone focus ring adapters bump into the module during calibration. If I were to put something like a Tilta Follow Gear Ring adapter around a Canon EF lens, what would happen during the Edelkrone's app calibration? Would the lens spin forever because there are no hard stops? Or would it find it.

A: Typically during the calibration process you would be able to stop the rotation at the lens's focus end points and the motors will digitally mark the end points, knowing the min and max focus throw.

Q: 3. Can I pair the Pan Pro with the Headone?

A: No, The Edelkrone Pan Pro and the Headone are not compatible to pair.

Q: 4. This product looks great and I'm considering buying it and one of the new edelkrone sliders. Would love to hear what people who have bought the product think of it though? There is not much information of this online so all I have to go on are videos from the edelkrone website.

A: It cannot.

A: If you consider using the edelkrone power module you would be able to power up your each edelkrone setup with a single battery (Gold Mount or V- Mount). For instance, if you would like to use V-Mount battery, you need to buy the Power Module V-Mount. Both of these Power Module's have 4 DC output socket, so, in terms of operation, there is not any difference in between them as well. A Gold Mount battery cannot be attached to the V-Mount Power Adapter and vice versa. On the other hand, V-Mount and Gold Mount batteries have D-Tap output on their bodies. Power Module's D-Tap port allows the user to power up their different devices (for instance, camera) by using a D-Tap cable from the Power Module.

Q: 7. can this be controlled wireless?

A: Edelkrone products are controlled through their app on a smartphone or tablet wirelessly. However please note that this is just the bracket and does not include the motors for panning or tilting your camera.

Q: 8. The product info claim there's two brackets included, yet the product images show a third. Does this include the third bracket to use a single HeadOne in tilt mode? Thanks!

A: There are two brackets in this kit: An L bracket and a connector bracket.

Q: 9. Is it safe to run the motor while controlling a fluid head on top at the same time?

A: That is not something we would recommend. It is possible, but it may not work very well.

[Black] This is an important part of the edelkrone video kit for smooth camera movement, one you certainly do not need right off the bat, but at some point goes on your wish list, as it allows you to add additional movement to your shots. Like their other components, it is well-built, simple to set up, and easily programmable using their phone app. 5

[Black] So I'm a member of the Longview Film Club, we make short films. Kinda like a community theater with a camera. LOL. We added pretty much the whole EdelKrone ecosystem to our toolkit this year. We replaced our Konova motorized slider with this one. The EdelKrone is so much better. It is perfectly smooth. The software's ramp up and ramp down ensures the there is never a jerk at the beginning or end of the slider's motion. It is also nearly silent. Not perfectly so, but nearly and very importantly, the frequency is much lower that other sliders. That means that the little noise there is, gets lost in dialog background easily, with no filtering. If you shoot from several feet away, you should have zero noise coming through from you boom mic. Just don't point the shotgun mic in the direction of the motor. If you use lapel mics (we do both simultaneously) it is never picked up. We tend to use the slider directly behind an actor on OTS shots. Even that close is dealt with effectively using the above approach. Any motorized slider will likely have a bit of noise to it, just some small rearrangement of mics drops that to zero. Before the Slide Module my choice was manual to silent, or having to filter it out in post. With the EdleKrone slider and motor module, you can shoot without fear of the noise! One last comment on repeatability. We absolutely love how we can film two shots and they come out exactly the same. Its a boon to VFX attempts. Makes CGI / VFX shots that combine real footage with digitally generated footage substantially easier! Short version .. best slider / motor I've seen yet. 5
