A sheepfoot blade and lockless design characterize the Spyderco Roadie Folding Knife Brown | Compact EDC Toolfrom Spyderco. The 2.1" blade is crafted from N690Co steel, a stainless steel alloyed with cobalt, molybdenum, and vanadium with a full flat grind for a very sharp edge. The blade features "Double Dent" dimples that replace a fingernail nick as the purchase point for two-handed opening. There's also a Trademark Round Hole that identifies the Roadie as a Spyderco knife but plays no role in opening the blade. A forefinger choil with jimping aids in edge control and also helps prevent the blade from unintentionally closing. The brown fiberglass-reinforced nylon scales are contoured for comfort and feature a recessed graphic of the Spyderco bug on both sides.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this fit a Nikon 400mm f2.8 with Z9 and FTZ adapter attached?

A: Yes. The following unit will accommodate a 400mm f/2.8 lens or eight to ten smaller lenses.

Q: 2. Anyone had any trouble carrying this on a flight?

A: While the Tenba Roadie Roller 21 dimensions do not exceed the average carry-on size of 22 x 14 x 9", certain airlines have differing requirements for carry-on sizes.

Q: 3. What would fit in the top pocket? A 5Dmkiii with the 40mm pancake lens attached? Or a Hasselblad 501cm with the wlf and 80mm?

A: The Hasselblad will probably fit on its side. The length of the Hasselblad and lens is similar to the width of the top compartment. The Canon body would fit easily.

Q: 4. Would this wagon be strong enough to carry a/v equipment? For instance, speakers, amp, mic cases, etc. Seems like the fabric might rip in that scenario. Thanks.

A: The Creative Outdoor Distributor All-Terrain Folding Wagon (Brown/Orange) is raged up to 150 lb load capacity. But items you put in it should not be sharp as that can in time damage the fabric.

Q: 5. Is there a place to hold a water bottle?

A: It's too bad that I have to decide between either a tripod or water bottle. Seems like it would've easy to either add another pocket on the opposite side or add some tie downs.

Q: 6. Can a ad300 pro fit vertically

A: Yes, the Godox AD300 Pro fits vertically inside of the Tenba Roadie Roller 21.

Q: 7. What is the difference between the Roadie Hybrid Roller and the Roadie Roller? Both seem to have backpack shoulder straps.

A: According to the manufacturer, the Tenba Roadie Hybrid Roller 21 has a Fast-Deploying Backpack Harness which allows the Roadie to be carried comfortably when the terrain is not "wheel friendly," such as on stairs or over sand or dirt. The Fast-Deploying Backpack Harness is not listed as included with the Tenba Roadie Roller 21. The Tenba Roadie Roller 21, B&H # TERR21B, instead has a Quick Access Battery Pocket, which is a rear zippered pocket that can hold most common portable batteries for charging mobile phones and other portable devices. Twin zippers allow cables to be easily threaded out of the pocket. The interior of the Tenba Roadie Hybrid Roller 21 is slightly deeper. The interior dimensions of the Tenba Roadie Roller 21 are 12W x 17H x 6.25-7.75D in. (30W x 43H x 15.8-19.6D cm), whereas the interior dimensions of the Tenba Roadie Hybrid Roller 21 are 12W x 17H x 6-7D in. (30W x 43H x 15.2-17.7D cm). That being said, both cases appear to have identical exterior dimensions, and all other specifications are identical.

Q: 8. Will a Nikon Z 70-200 S 2.8 will stand up "comfortably", i.e. not protrude to the point where it needs laying flat? Thanks :)

A: Yes, the Nikon NIKKOR Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR S Lens can stand up vertically in the Tenba Roadie Roller 24.

Q: 9. Is the waist strap removable?

A: Yes, the waist strap can be removed from the Tenba Roadie Backpack 22 (Black).

Q: 10. Will this fit under airline seat?

A: The width (14") and depth (9") are certainly within range to fit under the seat of a full-size jet. Whether it really fits is more dependent on how far the 20" height extends into the foot area, and whether that amount is considered passable by a flight attendant. As this bag was specifically designed to maximize the *overhead* carry-on regulations of an international flight, the 20" height was chosen to get as much gear on board as possible, and not considered in relation to the under-seat storage. Tenba Backpacks that are better suited for under-seat storage are the Shootout 24L, the Axis 20L and 24L, and the Solstice 20L.

[Folding] I have been carrying this knife for 6 months now and it is a great knife. It is sturdy and feels good in the hand, unlike some other knives. The extra blade lock is really nice and holds the blade strong. The open assist takes a bit to get used to, but once I did I actually like it better than some other brands. The only complaint I have is that the bottom of the pocket clip sticks out just a little bit and I accidently scratched my car when getting in.

[Sheepsfoot] Surprisingly very sharp blade. It was a little smaller than expected but it ended up working out just fine.

[Folding] Very satisfied with my second Coast Knife! This one arrived quickly and is well made, sharp and ready for immediate use. The opening action is improved on my previous knife and opens quick and strong. So far the blade is holding an edge very well with fairly frequent and varied use.

[Nylon] I wanted a good quality spring-assist blade without the $150-$300 pricepoint...I ran across THIS little gem and was SURE there had to be a pricing error. Now if I lose or break this knife I won't be launching a full-blown tirade as some of my colleagues have been known for ! I actually LOVE IT .

[Folding] I've had this knife for over two years and it is best assisted opening knife I have owned and I have owned quit a few. I bought it due to having a safety lock, which keeps the blade locked in either open or closed positions, which is a great feature. I have had other assisted openers accidently open in my pocket and opened when dropped and these were not cheap knives. Got cut several times and ruined two pairs of pants. Secondly, I love the liner lock. It is very strong and locks into place perfectly. What I really like is the upper edge of the liner lock sits higher than the handle edge and has nice scalloping, which makes the liner lock release very easy. Kudos to these designs! I have other liner lock knives which are a pain to get the lock to release! Not this knife! Finally!!! A company that knows how to make a great all-around folding lock back knife!
