[1x 1/4"-20 Male] I purchased this tripod looking for a quality video tripod with a high-quality fluid head. I had the opportunity to rent various tripods before making this purchase. When compared to other tripods in the similar price range, the Sachtler Ace L takes the cake. The head is built well and lacks the plastic feel of other tripod fluid heads. It can easily carry my rig (about 10 lbs) and pan/tilt with ease. The legs are strong, easy to use and adjust and are very lightweight. I can carry these sticks with my rig on location with ease. The counter balance design is rather limited and I have trouble dialing in the perfect setting for my rig. I'm guessing that it would be easier to balance with lighter cameras/rigs.

[Yes] We use sliders and this tripod can handle the C-300 and C-100 plus the slider with no problem or slippage.

[6.895 lb] I work as a cameraman for TV and normally we still use the big expensive Sachtler tripods built for the Betacams. Last year I wanted to get a cheap tripod for my little Canon 5DM3. The possibility to get a Sachtler at this price sounded too good to be true, but trying it at the store, you get this Sachtler feel for tilts and pans. I was convinced. Now, it has become the goto tripped for most of my work. I can put an iPhone on it and it works, I can put a Canon C300 on it and it works, I can even put my big Sony PDW700 ENG camera on it and it is still usable in most situations. Having such a flexible and lightweight tripod is amazing. But is is not perfect. The pan doesn't have enough drag for my taste and there is a tiny little rebound at the end of the move. Also, when you install a slider, you should do it sideways and not in the axis, because even if you have the head looked down, there will be a bit of sagging at the end of the run. This tripod will stay with me for a very long time.

[Yes] I was surprised at how beautiful the legs are. Carbon fiber stripes spiral down the legs. Although light, it is very robust. It feels tough and legs are greater in diameter than I thought they would be. Previously I preferred twist clamps, but that was before I used these lever clamps. 'Tripod works great without raising the legs, but when I need more height, pop open a lever and pull to hear the swish as the leg extends. Very smooth and safe. The built in spikes are nice too, just rotate the soft foot to expose them. On my other tripod, I had to dig out the spikes remove the foot, then screw in the spikes. The Ace is much easier and nothing gets lost. The leveling clamp that hangs from the 75mm bowl is very easy to level. 'Just punch the button and the bubble level illuminates, loosen the bowl clamp slightly and adjust to center the bubble before the light goes out. Nice battery saver. The metal parts are lightweight magnesium beautifully finished with holes for attachments. A little clip is shaped like a hexagonal socket for on the spot repair and and an Allen wrench is stored in the clip too. Also, the Ace tripod, or sticks as some call them, can work with Sachtler's larger fluid heads, like the FS8 I think it's called. Those can also be purchased as a kit. In my case I bought it for the head, the quality of legs was big surprise and it nice to know that if my weight requirements increase, I can use the legs with a larger head. The Ace L head is built to handle 3 kilos, or almost 12 pounds, which I am pushing when I load up the Blackmagic Ursa Mini with 2.6 lb battery and the shoulder mount kit and Sony VCT-U14 quick release plate, but the Ace L fluid head likes it. I used the supplied extra 1/4 to lock the plate to my camera with two bolts. It also comes with a 3/8. Once balanced, I twist the horizontal & vertical drags to 1, set the spring tension to 3, then the camera stays where you point it. I'm very happy with this kit.

[Yes] I'm using this with a C100 that goes from minimal build to completely decked out (Rods, external recorder, EVF, Matte Box, etc.) big weight differences. The head has functioned beautifully, showing only a bit of limitation when really weighted down. Just got back from a six country shoot, where it was set up and broken down a lot. No problems with travel at all. All in all, it's great to be able to have a Sachtler Tripod for this price. What a world.

[6.895 lb] I wanted a light tripod that is fluid with pans and tilts. This has not disappointed! No herky jerky shakes. Primarily bought it for my Sony z150 with attachments. So far so good. Nice and light!

[Yes] I really can't say enough about this tripod. Its so lightweight, heres no problem carrying it around. And the pan and tilt are everything you would expect in a Sachtler. It makes shooting outdoors a breeze due to the spread of the legs. Plenty of extention to get those low angel/obstructed shots. You wont be dissapointed with this purchase!

[+90° to -75°] This tripod system was a lot better than I had expected. It's pretty lightweight and certainly durable. The build quality is amazing. I use this with a BMPCC, so the 13.2 pound weight limit is more than enough. I think it may be the perfect tripod system for anyone, especially those just starting out. A solid tripod is something you don't want to go cheap on, but I think this is a very reasonable price for the quality you're getting.
