Q: 1. will there be any vignetting when using a canon 16-35mm f4 on a full frame camera? thx

A: There will be no vignetting using this holder on that lens.

Q: 2. Will this filter holder work with my Nikon 14-24mm lens with no cut-off? Thanks.

A: Youll need the Lee SW150 holder for your 14-24 mm lens. Many have opted for the 16-35 mm lens because the Lee 100 holder works fine with it.

Q: 3. I have a Canon 17-40 f/4L with a 77mm lens diameter. If I get a 77mm LEE Adapter ring + this LEE Filter Holder I will be good to go? (obviously I will have to get the filters themselves as well).

A: Yes mate. You will be

Q: 4. Can this fit a 3 mm thick filter that is 101 mm x 143 mm?

A: No, it just fit, except you cut the filter.

Q: 5. I have ordered some 4 polyester CC filters, in snap holders. I am wondering if the plastic frames will slide into this holder? I know about the holder that uses a rubber band, but this holder would be good for other lenses + multiple filters.

A: The Lee foundation kit works with 2mm thick filters and you can get other guards that work with 4mm thick filters. If your CC filter holder is not thicker than 4mm you can get those other guides. But they cannot be wider than 4 inches on one side. The 4mm guides are at this link a href= http://bhpho.to/1BHprZI. target= _blank http://bhpho.to/1BHprZI./a

Q: 6. I want to use this with Nikon 24mm f/1.4 lens---is the 77mm wide angle adapter ring or 77mm Lee FK adapter ring which one that i need? Can you able to send me the link to purchase for this ring? Tks.

A: I would suggest using the Lee 77mm Adapter Ring for Wide Angle lenses with the Nikon 24-mm f/1.4. Here is a link for that adapter ring:http://bhpho.to/1jrr44R

Q: 7. Thinking of using this holder (and associated filters) on the recently released Sony FE PZ 28-135 mm f/4 G OSS lens for video. It has 95mm diameter. Has someone tried this setup? Any forseable problems (vignetting, etc)?

A: No, you will get vignette with the Lee Filters foundation holder. That lens can use round filters that have a 95mm filter thread. If you want to use rectangle filters with that lens you need to use a matte box that has a filter holder. The box needs the ability to work with lenses that are at least 102mm in diameter. Most matte boxes use 15mm rods so best is for you to come in to chat or call to discuss what you need specifically.

Q: 8. Will this holder vignette @ 10mm focal length on a Sigma 10-20mm Lens with a 77mm thread?

A: As long as you use the LEE Filters Adapter Ring - 77mm - for Wide Angle Lenses (B&H # LEARWA77), you shouldn't experience vignetting at 10mm with the 10-20mm lens.

Q: 9. Will this holder accommodate my Lucroit 100mm filters?

A: I use 4x6( 100x150) Singh Ray filters.No problems

Q: 10. Hello, I am looking at this holder. I currently use the Conkin Z series with the Canon 16-35 f2.8 on a Mkiii, which is a 82mm thread. With the conkin I'm having issues with see the side of the holder from 16 to about 20-21mm. Will this holder alleviate that issue allowing me to shoot at 16mm without issue?

A: I'm using it with a Nikon 16-35mm lens with a 77mm thread and have no issues with vignetting at 16mm.

[0.175 lb] suppose you want to shoot wide open f/ 1.4 or f/1.2.. counting down from the "sunny 16 rules" from a bright sunny day, you would need a 2-3 stop worth of ND filter for the camera to be able to shoot at that open aperature, this can do it!! The mild color cast is easily adjusted post.

[0.175 lb] This is the best ND I could find. I was concerned about color slight color shifts & skin tones but so far it has not been an issue.

[0.175 lb] I didn't see any reviews here, so I'd chime in:

I purchased this with the Sigma 105mm f/1.4, and surprised that it has no noticeably color cast (compared to some ND filters for my 85mm lens).

I'm quite satisfied. The glass is very thin and light, like 30-50% of the weight of a UV filter for the same diameter.

I use this to get wider apertures in the studio setting, given that my strobes can remain fairly strong, and the ambient lighting can either be cut at higher shutter speeds (1/200) or introduced at lower speeds (1/30-1/60). A joy to use.

[Glass] Another ND filter in my tool kit. Different brands can produce somewhat different effects. Some people like it, other's don't. I prefer to look at it as another option when making my picture. It is nice to have options. Optical quality is awesome, and that is what matters.

[Glass] I was on a short road trip and used this alone, and with the Formatt Hitech 10 stop ND filter. The results were superb in both cases - no colour cast. An added benefit of the Formatt filter is it is very thin, so vignetting is less of an issue. I would encourage people to take a filter wrench, just in case...

[Glass] Most ND filters do not block IR at the level suggested by their rating so images are overexposed if you use an LE calculator. These Firecrest ND filters are great for long exposure IR shooting with the resulting exposures very near what the calculator suggests.
