Designed to travel with you, the VB4 measures only 6.3” when folded and weighs only 11.8 oz with its durable nylon and fiber build. Despite its compact form factor, the VB4 retains comprehensive functionality with the built-in 8.5” extension rod, 9.2 oz payload, and included 1/4”-20 compact tripod. A: no unfortunately because of there the center of gravity on the HC-X1000 this gimbal will not work.

It should be able to balance the FS5 on it, however you will more than likely need to have the top handle and side handle off and you will be limited to the range of motion with the gimbal. Single handed gimbals like this can work with a camera like the FS5, but you will not get the full performance from the gimbal.
