Part of the ULX-D wireless series, the Shure ULXD Wireless Lavalier Kit with MX150 Microphonehouses a single digital receiver in a rugged half-rack unit with an external power supply.

The ULX-D Series simplifies the set up and management of large numbers of wireless systems. It is ideal for professional sound reinforcement applications in large live venues and houses of worship, as well as A/V installations in conference, educational, and corporate facilities. Compatible with a wide selection of Shure transmitters and mic capsules, it delivers pristine 24-bit/48 kHz digital audio, capturing every detail with clarity, accurate low end, and crisp transient response.

The ULX-D operates in the UHF band, utilizing Digital Predictive Switching Diversity to protect the transmission from interference, delivering rock-solid RF signal stability without audio artifacts. In Standard mode you can run up to 17 channels per 6 MHz TV channel, at a range up to 330'. Alternatively, the High-Density mode lets you run up to 47 channels per 6 MHz TV channel, at a maximum range of 98'. The system offers AES-256 encryption for security.

The unit features audio and RF meters, 60 dB of gain control, and both XLR and 1/4" outputs. A large LCD screen and intuitive controls let you quickly make adjustments, even in low-light situations. Additional features include automatic frequency scanning, IR sync, gain optimization to match any input source, and internal limiting to prevent clipping.

The Ethernet port allows multiple receivers to be easily networked together for simplified frequency coordination and deployment via Shure's Wireless Workbench software. In addition, the Channels Mobile App enables you to control the system remotely from an iOS device.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. what wireless label microphones would work well with this receiver?

A: The Shure SM58 wireless microphones with H9: 512 - 542 MHZ work excellent with this receiver.

Q: 2. Will this tie clip work for a Shure WL-50 mic?

A: The MX150 cable is thicker than the WL50. As such, it may be a loose grasp and not provide a reliable fit.

Q: 3. Can I connect this lavalier directly to a Zoom H5?

A: The Shure MX184 is able to connect directly to one of the 2 available XLR mic inputs on the recorder. It will also receive its power from the recorder.

Q: 4. Will this microphone work with the Shure Beta inline xlr preamp using phantom power?

A: Yes, it is compatible.

Q: 5. origin for this mic ?

A: The Shure SM11-CN is currently manufactured in Germany.

Q: 6. Hı , can this microphone be connected to Asio sound interface to record directly to computer?

A: Unfortunately no, because this microphone uses a TA4F connector, it is meant to be specifically hooked up to a Shure wireless body pack that accepts this type of connector. There are ways around this, but I would suggest using a different microphone that has a standard TRS or XLR connector.

Q: 7. does shure BLX88 mix sounds from the dual XLR inputs?

A: No. There is no mixer functionality.

Q: 8. How long is the cable?

A: The attached cable on the MX184 microphone is approximately 4-feet long.

Q: 9. Will this clip work with the Shure WL93 lav mic?

A: This product is not intended for use with the WL93. The recommended clips are RK354SB for mounting a single WL93, and the RK307DB for mounting two.

Q: 10. Dear can i use this with sony nx3. After making cable long of this mic

A: The MX184 it seems should be compatible as the NX3's specifications indicate it has the necessary XLR audio input with phantom power.

[DHCP, Manual IP] I am using this lav mic to amplify a 5 string banjo. I had been using a generic electret battery driven lav mic (think radio shack) for that purpose, replacing the mini-plug with a female 1/4 inch, then using a standard guitar cord, plugging into a Baggs Para DI, then into the board of the sound system with an xlr mic line. That was OK, but I had lots of thin wire to coil, a fragile battery pod and the nusiance of dead watch batteries if I forgot to switch the thing off. The SM11 of course needs no batteries and the wiring is much more robust than the cheap lav mic. I can go direct into a mixing board and the sound is quite nice. The banjo doesn't really need a lot of high end amplification, and doesn't produce deep lows -- all of which the dynamic mic doesn't pick up. So the result is a nice warm sound, and much more full-spectrum than the electret mic to my ear. Probably because the diaphragm is larger, I guess. I don't need to hide this rather large (thumb size)lav canister in clothing, like a video person would. It rides in the backside of the banjo. The included tie clip worked fine, clipped to a little jig I sometimes use. But instead I wrapped the body in some dense memory foam, and made my own mount that also acts as a tone regulator behind the head -- it's an open-back banjo thing. Looks like this product is robust and should work for years. Works fine going straight into the mixing board. But when I run it through the Baggs Para DI (which is a preamp as well as a DI) I have to use a transformer to change the signal to HI-Z for the 1/4 inch input. Then the output from the Bagg's male xlr (lo-z again) is too hot for the mixing board, so I use a 20db attenuator between the DI out and the board mic-line in. Works fine that way.

[-98 dBm] These are great. Easy to rig up with a broadcast loop, quick and easy to mic up the talent.

[1] I use these with my sennheiser G3 lav. After losing the pricier sennheiser mzq222 clip I picked up these. It includes 3 clips and 9 of the plastic cable pinches. It has been working perfectly.

[30 dB] Save yourself drop outs and feedback which can be embarrassing to any Wedding DJ. I am super pleased with this heavy hitter! It is absolutely a game changer for me handing over my wireless mic for a toast and having confidence it will not fail.

[30 dB] So I have about 30 wireless lav mics in inventory, all with different clothing clips. When one inevitably breaks you can never get the actual replacement, in some cases you don't want to. This clip sandwiches the wire between the foam insert and hold the mic just right where you want it. Need it on the other side, just pop the wire out, flip the clip, and off you go. I always have a few extra in the desk drawer, just in case.

[< 2.9 ms] Needed a small, quality microphone for Documentary video shoot. Sound quality is excellent and reception of radios works well. Have only just received product and not put it to full use, but early tests seem to go well.

[Steel] I've used a lot of lav mics, from the $25 range to the $250 range. I got this mic in a package with some other equipment, and have been blown away at its professional sound. The signal-to-noise ratio is awesome, the sound is clear and the design is rugged. The only downside is that the mic itself is fairly large, and doesn't hide as well when clipped to the talent.
