Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does the Canon SL3 support third party flashes and triggers like my Godox Ad600bm and godox X1 trigger ?

A: No, the hot shoe doesn't have a center contact point and only works for Canon flashes.

Q: 2. Will the Canon EOS Rebel SL3 DSLR turn off after 30 minutes if I am NOT recording?

A: If the Auto Power Off function is turned on, then the SL3 will shut down when not being used.

Q: 3. Does this camera actually do 4-2-2 10bit external recording like the specs here say!? Or is it a typo?

A: Yes it does, you can see it listed here on page 11: https://downloads.canon.com/nw/camera/products/eos/rebel-sl3/downloads/canon-eos-rebel-sl3-specifications-chart.pdf

Q: 4. Is this a US model or international model?

A: This is a US variant of the SL3.

Q: 5. Is this a good backup pro camera for portraiture? I have a 70D that I love, but need a backup camera. I like that this is lightweight and less expensive, but don't want it to be a major step down from what I'm used to. TIA!

A: As far as image quality, this would not be a tremendous step down in performance from a 70D. The SL3 has higher resolution but slightly weaker low light performance, as well as fewer AF points and coverage, but makes up for those with additional video features.

Q: 6. Does this camera work well for shooting wildlife/sports, or other moving subjects?

A: It will do relatively well with fps shooting and the tracing, but something along the lines of the t7i or t8i would be a bit better suited.

Q: 7. what is the difference with the Canon M50 mark ii?

A: The differences between the SL3 and the M50 Mark II are feature-based. Aside from it being a mirrorless camera, the M50 II would have a higher continuous shooting rate, a greater number of autofocus points and Eye AF over the SL3.

Q: 8. Does the SL3 come with the carrying bag?

A: The Canon EOS Rebel SL3 DSLR Camera with 18-55mm Lens (Black) does include a case. The Canon EOS 200ES Shoulder Bag (Black) is a good camera bag. Here is the link: https://bhpho.to/3w1J42K

Q: 9. Will the SL3 accept EFS 18-55mm lens from my Rebel XSI (No longer supported)?

A: Yes any version of the EF-S 18-55mm will fit on the SL3.

Q: 10. canon Rebel SL3 and canon 200D MARK II BOTH SAME ?

A: That is correct. In the USA the camera is labeled the Canon EOS Rebel SL3 DSLR. And in other regions of the world the same camera is listed as the 200D Mark II.

[Aluminum] Bought specifically to use with my GF lenses for the Fuji GFX 50r. Truly does give a more filmic look right to the RAW files. Great for back light and creating natural lens flare. Skin texture is lovely as well.

[Aluminum] I didn't notice any light leaks, color cast, vignetting or an x-effect.

These K&F filters have a hard stop at both ends whereas some of their other variable ND filters spin freely.

Overall a really great value. Perfect for video!

[55 mm] A filter like this is a MUST HAVE if you want to level up how your images (for photography and video) look in broad, intense daylight in one fell swoop.

They reduce the overall amount of light coming in the camera so you can stop down for a beautiful optically blurred out background and heavily reduce intense sunlight reflections, virtually adding dynamic range in daylight. I knew this would help my shots but my jaw dropped when a got the footage back from testing locations for a project, with and without. (attached photos are screen grabs of video. Shot on Sony A74, Sigma 24-70 f2.8) *Note: This is my first ND filter and first polarizer.

My testing has found a slight cyan cast in the area where sunlight can hit the lens where shadows can be seen, it looks almost dreamy and I kind of like it, but not perfectly color preserving. With Nano-X Pro, I have not encountered any dark X pattern no mater how I adjusted it, which is far better than most Variable ND + Circular Polarizer filters on the market. The included pouch is made of materials that feel great in the hand and its pull tab that makes the filter rise out of the pouch is a very nice touch that makes me wish K&F Concept included this pouch with more filters and also sold separately. I want other filters in these things! (Wile they do sell other pouches. They do not sell the ones included with these filters.)

If you are on the fence and don't have a ND or polarizer, just get it. It took a while for Polar Pro to finally release something like this, and the price of this one STILL undercuts it. If you are a videographer/photographer, image quality is super important and this is a fantastic tool to help you properly expose your shots. There is a reason why Directors of Photography have built in ND filters on their wish list for their cinema cameras and this is why, it makes their job so much easier and allows them to focus on building the look that they want.

[Glass] I am a film photographer and I bought this for my Pentax f/1.4 50mm lens to shoot long exposures of waterfalls. For such a low price I was prepared for problems but all of my images were beautiful and consistent, no difference in picture quality at different exposure times and different lighting conditions. The fact it is waterproof was greatly appreciated since the spray radius off some of the falls was quite impressive. Overall very pleased especially for the price, I would def buy from this brand again.
Good to note: I primarily shoot black and white, and the only color shots I took with this filter were at night, so I can't really speak to how it might affect colors. What I did shoot looked accurate and I don't see any discoloration.

[55 mm] The VND itself looks very good. No ugly X over the image. The game changers for me are the hard stops on the variable ring and the magnetic mount. I got rid of my tiffen immediately.

[Aluminum] I purchased a Nikon 500mm f5.6 and this filter to protect it. This filter does not interfere with the lens hood and the lens cap snaps into it fine. I liked the high light transmissiveness for the price.

[55 mm] If you're looking to try long exposure on a budget, this is a very solid buy.

I bought this for a first attempt at long exposure waterfalls and I am immensely pleased, especially with the price point. I shoot black & white so I can't comment on any possible color aberrations, but all of my shots are clean and sharp. It took getting sprayed by waterfalls in the middle of winter very well, cleans easily and threads smoothly. Best paired with 100 speed film on bright sunny days, it only took me down to 1-2 seconds with 400 speed.

[55 mm] I recently purchased the K&F Concept 1/4 Black Mist Filter from B&H, and it has quickly become one of my favorite photography accessories. This filter adds a touch of enchantment to my shots, softening highlights and infusing them with a subtle misty quality. It strikes the perfect balance at 1/4 strength, preserving critical details while creating a dreamy atmosphere. B&H's seamless shopping experience and prompt delivery made the purchase a breeze. I'm thoroughly impressed with both the product and B&H's exceptional service. The K&F 1/4 Black Mist Filter has unlocked a new dimension of creativity in my photography, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

[Aluminum] The K&F Concept Nano-X Filters are well made. I've purchased two 67 mm and one 77 mm and all three fit my lenses perfectly. Optically they have no practical effect on image resolution or light transmission and produce no added glare. These are well-made, reasonably priced filters with exceptional optical performance. It's amazing how much multi-coating technology has improved in the last decade and K & F seems to be fully competitive with the best filters available anywhere.
