Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What's the best way to store already mixed solutions to prolong its use?

A: In dark chemistry bottles, such as the ones listed below; https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=storage%20bottles&N=0&InitialSearch=yes&sts=ma

Q: 2. Is this chemistry for movie films like 250D or 500T?

A: Yes, the Flic Film ECN-2 8-Roll Home Processing Kit (0.5L) is the correct development kit for all Kodak Vision 3 cinema films.

Q: 3. Does this use Blix or separate bleach and fixer?

A: The Rollei C-41 Color Film Developing Kit (Large) contains Bleach Fix Part A (1L) and Bleach Fix Part B (1L).

Q: 4. Will I need to double batch to develop a roll of Super 8?

A: How many batches of the Flic Film ECN-2 Processing Kit for 8 Rolls (0.5L) you will need will depend how long your super 8 film is. This chemistry though is for film that had the remjet layer removed. It won't work if your super 8 film still has the remjet layer on it.

Q: 5. can I use this kit to do a Cross Processing on slide films?

A: You could take an E6 film and cross process it with this C41 kit. The issue is that cross processing is all about trial and error and be open to see what happens. We cannot guarantee what results you will have, but it is a fun process to use. If you are open to wild and unpredictable results and are interested in DIY it would be something fun to try.

Q: 6. Does this include stabilizer?

A: It does not have a stabilizer but if you are shooting modern color negative film, a "stabilizer bath" is not necessary. Up until the mid 90's, the final rinse bath in the C-41 process was called a "stabilizer bath," since it contained Formaldehyde or Formalin. Modern color film emulsions include chemical stabilizers within the film emulsion itself.

Q: 7. How many sheets of 4x5 film can be processed, loaded in a Combi-Plan T daylight tank?

A: About 25 ~ 30 sheets 4X5 film depending on dev time, temp etc.

Q: 8. Can I develop B&W C41 with this? Like Ilford HP5+?

A: The CineStill Film Cs41 Powder Developing Kit is specific to process C-41 like most color negative film. It is not compatible to use it to process., Ilford HP5 Plus Black and White Negative Film.

Q: 9. Do I have to use all of it at once, or can I only make however much I need at a time?

A: Yes, all stock must be used on the CineStill Film Cs41 Powder Developing Kit for C-41 Color Film at once.

Q: 10. How many 120mm rolls can be processed?

A: You can process approximately 8-10 rolls of 120 film. Of course you can use the chemistry for more than 1 batch but your development times will increase to compensate for partially exhausted chemistry. You can refer to the dev. instructions packaged with the chemistry for more details.

[0.81 lb] Used the roll to test a second-hand camera. Definitely love the results, especially considering the price.

[0.81 lb] As others have noted, this is Ektachrome 5294 movie film, spooled in to cassettes, for 35mm still cameras. It has great color, and saturation, as well pleasing skin tones. Like its sold by Kodak Alaris counterpart, it is a great all around film. I use it for all occasions, both in the studio, and outdoors. Since it is a movie film, it doesn't have frame numbers along the edges; not a big deal, just something to note.

[0.81 lb] This film was a real treat after buying it on a whim. I found the pop of color vibrancy on it, and its low grain, to be stellar. I live in Texas so we get plenty of bright sun, so this low ISO film is perfect for that. I know its just a repackaging of a Kodak aerial film, but that isn't really available to us consumers, but Flic Film Elektra is, and I plan to shoot more of it! I highly recommend it to photographers looking for fairly cheaper color negative film, and in applications where you like some nice extra reds and greens

[0.81 lb] At first glance, I thought it was a wasted roll, but after some color corrections in Lightroom, the warm tones were there while still highlighting the natural colors that modern slide film highlights. I will definitely shoot with it again to see if I can fine tune the exposure a bit.

[0.81 lb] I bought this film kinda on a whim after really liking Flic Film Elektra and how they handled their packaging. I needed something for varied lighting that wasn't CIneStill 800t as I didn't want the hallation, and I gotta admit I find Portra 800 just a little boring (though reliable to keep around)

Its still not known at this time where Aurora 800 comes from, as opposed to some others from Flic Film, but I gotta say I kinda love it. This whole roll was shot pushed to 1600, and everything came out beautifully. There was so much latitude in it that I could do some edits to pull back exposure and the grain becomes so nice, without losing any of the character of the image or the shadows. I haven't shot it at box speeds yet, but the way 1600 still captures such great color, as well as detail in light, shadow, and midtones I really am sure box speed will be great too.

Until we finally get someone making 1600 speed film again, I think Aurora will be my go to for color at 1600. CineStill 800t will also still get some rotation for that, but I feel that will be much more situational for me.

[0.81 lb] Absolutely love this film stock! Keeping plenty of rolls on hand, it's the perfect sweet spot for me between the more grounded Porta 800, and the more intense Cinestill 800T.

[0.81 lb] I am very satisfied with the product. It is very practical in use. The water heats up quickly and the temperature is regulated very precisely. Important for users in Germany (220 V AC): An adapter power supply (from 220 V to 110 V AC) is required, which is at least 600 watts continuous current. This is the power of the heating rod.

[Powder] In August, I went on a trip the the Pacific Northwest, and wanted to capture it on Slide and B&W. I shot 5 rolls of Chrome 100 using a Nikon F with a 50mm F/1.4 and using a Pentax Spotmeter V!

Very happy with how they turned out! I also brought two rolls of Kodak's E100 to compare, and since Chrome 100 is just bulk loaded E100D wasn't much of a difference between E100 and Chrome 100!

I really enjoyed this roll and for the price (especially since E100 is 21.99 on B&H) you can't get much better than this!
