Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Are these reusable or one-time use only?

A: The Kalt 35mm Cassette for Bulk Film (Plastic, 20 Cassettes) can be reused if properly cared for.

Q: 2. Individual rolls come boxed?

A: The Kodak GC/UltraMax 400 Color Negative Film comes in a box.

Q: 3. How long (time) is 144 movie frames?

A: The Lomography LomoKino 35mm Film Camera shoots at 3-5 frames per second. And the frame is smaller than 35mm. So 144 frames in seconds is approximately, 28 seconds to 48.

Q: 4. is it fresh film?

A: B&H Photo's policy on film is that all film sold will have an expiration date at least 6 months after the delivery date.

Q: 5. Is this film DX coded?

A: Yes

Q: 6. Can this be used for a Pentax iq zoom 90 Mc??? I’m just getting into film photography.

A: Yes, it will be able to be used in that Pentax 35mm camera.

Q: 7. Will I need to double batch to develop a roll of Super 8?

A: How many batches of the Flic Film ECN-2 Processing Kit for 8 Rolls (0.5L) you will need will depend how long your super 8 film is. This chemistry though is for film that had the remjet layer removed. It won't work if your super 8 film still has the remjet layer on it.

Q: 8. What is the expiry of this film?Thank you.

A: Unfortunately, we would not be able to provide the exact expiration date of a specific film stock, as B&H agents do not have access to the warehouse (and wouldn't be able to guarantee the film checked would be the one you received even if we had access). That being said, any film that was within 6 months of its expiration date would be sold as short dated and specifically listed as such on our site.

Q: 9. After developing and scanning the negatives, how do you turn them from stills into a movie?

A: You can send it to these people as the negatives or scanned digitally: https://filmphotographystore.com/products/film-scanning-services-lomokino-movie-maker-35mm-film-scanning?_pos=2&_sid=d6100359a&_ss=r

Q: 10. What spool does this come with? Does it have the Fujifilm style 2-pin spool?

A: The Kalt 35mm Cassette for Bulk Film spools look like this: https://bhpho.to/3N5Swdd

[0.095 lb] I previously rated the Sensei film cassettes in a not-very-positive light.  I was pleasantly surprised when the B H product review team reached out and offered to help, asking if I would be willing to speak directly with Sensei.  To make a long story short, it was my error to not assemble the cassettes correctly.

So, on to the review. These cassettes are built like tanks. Some smaller producers do use them. Unlike normal aftermarket cassettes, which spring open if you drop them, these do not. You must pay attention when loading and assembling them (which I did not). You need to ensure everything is aligned and seat the cassette with a firm squeeze (and you will hear an audible click). This will fit the bill if you want something that is almost OEM-level sturdiness.  But you must pay attention.

[Plastic] In August, I went on a trip the the Pacific Northwest, and wanted to capture it on Slide and B&W. I shot 5 rolls of Chrome 100 using a Nikon F with a 50mm F/1.4 and using a Pentax Spotmeter V!

Very happy with how they turned out! I also brought two rolls of Kodak's E100 to compare, and since Chrome 100 is just bulk loaded E100D wasn't much of a difference between E100 and Chrome 100!

I really enjoyed this roll and for the price (especially since E100 is 21.99 on B&H) you can't get much better than this!

[Plastic] Used the roll to test a second-hand camera. Definitely love the results, especially considering the price.

[0.095 lb] At first glance, I thought it was a wasted roll, but after some color corrections in Lightroom, the warm tones were there while still highlighting the natural colors that modern slide film highlights. I will definitely shoot with it again to see if I can fine tune the exposure a bit.

[0.095 lb] Step 1. Buy this stock
Step 2. Put it in your camera
Step 3. Slap on an 812 filter

Now I just need to get one of those old slide projectors

[Plastic] As others have noted, this is Ektachrome 5294 movie film, spooled in to cassettes, for 35mm still cameras. It has great color, and saturation, as well pleasing skin tones. Like its sold by Kodak Alaris counterpart, it is a great all around film. I use it for all occasions, both in the studio, and outdoors. Since it is a movie film, it doesn't have frame numbers along the edges; not a big deal, just something to note.

[Plastic] Decided to try it out given the price was good. I like the grain and the contrast, it performed well. Very good price, worth a try to see if you like it.

[0.095 lb] Nice way to add some variety and mix up what you shoot. For the price its worth buying a few rolls and seeing what you get. Lots of contrast and nice fine grain.
