The black Pyle Pro Retro Cardioid Vocal Microphoneis a cardioid vocal microphone that brings that iconic, "old school" look and feel, along with a warm vintage sound to your singing performance on stage and in the studio, or in karaoke settings.

Apart from the look, the PDMICR42 combines all the great features that make classic mics ideal for active stage performances. The mic is equipped with a dynamic moving-coil capsule, an integral plosive-reducing pop filter, an adjustable self-tensioning swivel mount, a steel mesh grille, a convenient On/Off switch for muting from the stage, and a universal mic-stand adapter.

With low-noise circuitry, a wide frequency response, and a cardioid polar pattern that lessens the pickup of unwanted off-axis sound such as room reflections, the PDMICR42 delivers clear and present vocal tone. An internal cartridge shockmount reduces vibrations from the stand, which would otherwise muddy your sound.

To get you started right away, the PDMICR42 comes with a 16' XLR to 1/4" TS mic cable for connection to portable PA systems and mixing boards.

[Solid-State] I bought this to replace some ancient mics for poetry readings. Solidly built (as expected from Shure) and sound was good and warmer than the vintage mics it replaced. None of the readers or emcee had any issue with the range of pick-up as another reviewer mentioned.

[Mono] I needed to replace a couple of 25 year old Audio Technica mics that had lost their low end response. Found the ATR1500 is the same mic at a great price! Already used one for a general PA use and got a great big fat sound no matter who spoke into the mic. Way to go Audio Technica!

[Mono] I've been using the predecessor EV ND367 mics for many years - and given them as presents to fellow musicians - I just bought this pair of EV ND76 mics as a gift for my musical partner - we all swear by them and we have never found a fault - really fine sound, noise-free, and articulate (fast enough to mic cymbals) - well-built and durable
