Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What cable do I use to charge the flip 36?

A: You can use a USB extension like the B&H # PEUSB3AA6 with the GOAL ZERO Flip 36 10050mAh Portable Power Station (Black) BH #GO21950.

Q: 2. I have a Yeti400 the battery says 100%. Output is 29. I can plug in the zero lanterns and my cell phone. However, when I plug in a very small fan or lamp it will not turn on. I have removed everything else I can’t get the wattage? Is it the battery?

A: This product may be defective. Please contact us: B&H Customer Service Team: Call: 800.221.5743 or 212.239.7765 Email : cs@bhphotovideo.com

Q: 3. Can this be used to charge a Yeti 400? The charger tip looks identical.

A: The manufacturer does not indicate that the GOAL ZERO Yeti 200X/500X 120W AC Power Supply is compatible with the Yeti 400.

Q: 4. Can this power up a laserjet printer, monitor and a CPU? If so, for how long?

A: Most UPS manufacturers discourage connecting a laser printer to their equipment due to their excessive startup power requirements. The Yeti 400 would fall under the same restrictions for the same reason. The 400 watt rating is 400 watt hours so drawing 40 watts per hour it would provide 10 hours, 10 watts per hour would give you 40 hours etc. Many devices have a high startup requirement and taper off during their use... The average hourly rate has to be considered to come up with a meaningful serviceable duration. I use it to run LED lighting, charging iPhones, iPads and a Mac computer. Recharge it during the day with 4 Boulder 30 Solar Panels. This is an optimum usage because most of the usage is at night and the topping off of the charge is during the day. Find it usually fully recharged by the time we get up in the morning.

Q: 5. Can it power a CPAP?

A: For me yeti is very good, my Yeti.

Q: 6. Is there a version of this powerbank with 240vac outlet?

Q: 8. what kind of cable would be best when using this battery to power the zoom f3? BH #ZOF3

A: You could use the Pearstone USB 3.1 Type-C to USB Type-A Charge & Sync Cable (3') BH#PEUSB313CMA3.

Q: 9. Does this unit provide A/C power? I want to use it to run TV monitor at upcoming trade show.

A: Yes. It has an ordinary electrical outlet and provides AC power.

Q: 10. Is it best to drain the battery before starting to do the re-charge, or does it matter what charge is left on battery before re-charging?

A: It is best to let the battery drain before you start to recharge the GOAL ZERO Yeti 200X Lithium Portable Power Station BH #GO22070.

[Black / Silver] I had to wait a few months to get it, as it was on back order from the distributor, but was worth the wait. I need it as a back up power supply for my CPAP machine (sleep apnea). When the grid is knocked out I'd have to almost stay awake all night ... now there is always power available. It's left on recharge all the time so it's at 100% charge when needed. It's also great to be able to recharge 2 cell phones at once during power outages, among other things like making coffee and cooking.

[1] The increased power supply lets you take better advantage of power supplies at coffee shops, hotels, ...

In the scenario where there are few outlets, it is nice to have the extra power that enables the goal zero to be utilized and charged.

[Black / Silver] So far, this unit suits my needs perfectly for the price. Have several other power packs, some that'll even jump start your vehicle, but as for clean power needs for devices in the field, this unit is tops. Yeti makes a smaller, and a much more powerful device, so research your needs properly. My use is for sportscasting, and if you're in this field, you know you sometimes have to take a broadcast location that's not so hot based on the necessity of AC plug-in availability. Either that or plug in at the end of mile of extension cord and the hope that some bored kid wandering aimlessly doesn't happen upon the other end of the orange mile and yank the plug. Since most radio (and even basic video) sportscasting equipment doesn't require a whole lot of juice, this Yeti grants you freedom of broadcast location. (Be aware its weight will lengthen your arm a bit, and you will need to tote it up however many risers you need to ascend.) If you blend this unit wisely with your typical broadcasting gear that utilizes on-board or handheld battery packs, you should be able to do women/men basketball double headers as well as softball or baseball doubleheaders with battery life to spare. Especially nice when sportscasting diamond sports on the road without benefit of a broadcast booth, which is quite common (and even preferred) at most non-major college level ballparks. Make sure you include the Yeti in your plans to protect gear from moist weather as most electrical devices don't mix well with rain and/or puddles. An additional plus regarding this Yeti is that you can leave it plugged in a home without worry between sports broadcasts as on-board technology protects it from any type of overcharging issues.

[Black / Silver] At least twice as fast, maybe even faster than my antiquated power supply from the yeti 150.

[Black / Silver] Extremely useful in remote locations. I’ve been using it to power LED fixtures on set for anything under 300w. In conjunction with the (notably durable) solar panel it’s an excellent system for camera systems with AC compatibility or LED fixtures.
