The Tiffen 4x5.65" Pink Soft-Edge Graduated Filterhelps to specifically add a bright pink coloration to skies and other bright areas of an image while allowing a portion of the image to remain neutrally colored. The filter's coloring is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged transition between the density and clear areas. The 1 color density provides less pink coloration than the 2 density filter.

This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. It measures 4 x 5.65" / 101.6 x 143.5mm.

A: You need a filter holder (i.e. Hitech 85 mm) and then an appropriate adapter ring to fit the filter threads on your lense. I've used this set-up on lense filter sizes ranging from 49-62 mm

Q: 5. What is the difference between the Cokin P121 and the P121S graduated neutral density filters? Both are stated to be 3-stop graduated filters. Does the s version make a more gradual transition from clear to dark than the base 121? Why would you use one versus the other?

A: I believe the S refers to soft indicating a softer transition from the neutral density region to clear. I use the S version when the scene I am trying to capture has objects (such as trees) extending into the brighter region (e.g. sky). I find the S version often works nicely when shooting some waterfalls and I want to have the foreground more exposed without introducing a hard transition line. If I'm shooting a sunset or sunrise with a strong horizon line I typically go with a harder transitioned filter.

A: Sorry I do not know. I am using the filter with the Lee Filter Holder.

Q: 7. Is this equivalent to 100x100mm? Does this filter fit on NiSi 100mm filter holder?

A: Yes, 4 x 4" is equivalent to 100 x 100mm. Unfortunately though, this is a specialized cine-style filter that is thicker (4mm) than the kind the NiSi holder will take (2mm).

A: While it should be compatible, the answer will depend on the lens you own, not which camera you own.
