Provide accessory mounting and protection for your Canon EOS R7 camera with the lightweight aluminum SmallRig Black Mamba Camera Cage for Canon EOS R7from SmallRig. This formfitting cage maintains access to the camera's controls, battery, and SD card slot, and it features a variety of mounting options. The camera mounts onto the cage using a single 1/4"-20 screw, and there is a raised front to prevent the camera from twisting and rubber padding on the base to prevent metal-to-metal contact.

In addition to multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 accessory threads, the cage features a NATO rail on the side for an optional handle and ARRI-style locating holes to prevent accessories from twisting when mounted on the cage. The cage features an integrated Arca-type mount on the base, so you can mount it onto standard Arca-type heads and bases. There is a shoe mount on top, and integrated strap slots allow you to add a separately available neck or wrist strap, and a QD (Quick Detach) socket on the bottom provides an additional strap attachment. A screwdriver for securing the camera screw is stored on the bottom of the cage.

[Canon EOS R7] This is an excellent mini cage for the Canon EOS R10. It wraps around the camera securely without blocking any important access to controls, battery or connection ports. Just ordered a wooden universal side handle for the left side, and an NP-F battery mount to add an external battery. Next a top handle, shotgun mic, and a monitor mount. 5

[0.675 lb] It has lots of 1/4 holes. I did nick my bottom my new R6 trying to put this on, before realizing there is retaining pin that needed to be backed off first. 5

[Canon EOS R7] The cage is exactly what I was looking for but unfortunately is slightly too snug around the r6 mark ii. You can get it on there but quick installation will be unlikely and there's a chance it will begin to scratch your camera. Returning and ordering the mark ii specific small rig cage, wish that it had the same fit as the Black Mamba around the grip. 5

[1x Cold Shoe] Was looking for something that would help me do low perspective photograph close to the ground where I could hold the R7 with a handle and use the display and my remote. This fit the bill perfectly. The only draw back it has is when using RF "L" Series lenses with it. You will need a popsicle stick or a plastic tool to reach the lens release button because of the design. You just can't get your finger down there to push the button. Other then that minor issue it is GREAT! 5

[Canon EOS R7] I bought this to start doing some outdoor video work with my R10 camera. I wanted to not only be able to attach a microphone but have a little protection for the camera. The fit on the camera is perfect and it even comes with the tool to take it on and off which conveniently stores intself in the cage. The only thing negative that I noticed about the cage is getting the memory card in and out is a little bit more difficult. Its a minor issue but you have to fenagle with it a little to get it out or remove the battery. Great fit, looks cool and works for my application. 5

[Cage] A little difficult to access the battery and memory card. Also with the RF100-500 lens, the release button is not easy to access but with my little finger, it's ok. Because of the camera's very good protection, I give it 5 stars. 5
