Q: 1. Is the tops stud on the Acratech 1117 3/8"-16? Thanks, Steve

A: The Acratech Leveling Base, with 3/8" Tripod Thread - Supports 25 lb (11.4 kg), B&H #ACLB, listed above has a 3/8"-16 male thread on the top of the leveling base. If you need the option that uses the 1/4"-20 male thread, you may instead purchase the Acratech Leveling Base for Tripods with 1/4"-20 Thread Head Mount, B&H # ACLBS, for your usage needs.

Q: 2. Does this head rotate 360 degrees as well?

A: Yes & No. The levelling base does rotate 360 degrees, but you would have to re-level after the rotation. However, I have three different brands of ball heads that I could use with this levelling base and all three ball heads have the ability to rotate 360 degrees independently of the levelling base.

Q: 3. What is the diameter of the platform for mounting ballhead?

A: 2.25 inches

Q: 4. My unit is stuck in a fixed position, despite loosening the nut all the way. Is there any way to fix it?

Q: 8. Is the top stud on the Acratech #1117 3/8"-16 or 1/4-20 ?

A: The Acratech Leveling Base, with 3/8" Tripod Thread - Supports 25 lb (11.4 kg), B&H #ACLB, listed above has a 3/8"-16 male thread on the top of the leveling base. Q: 9. Is this head compatible with the Wimberly Sidekick?

A: The Wimberley Arca Sidekick Ball to Gimbal Head Adapter is designed for use with ball heads, not panoramic tilt heads such as the Acratech Panoramic Head with Leveling Base Kit. While the Wimberley Sidekick would connect to the Acratech Panoramic Head, you may not get full range of motion using the panoramic head.

Q: 10. Will the Epic pro work with the Fujifilm GFX 100?

A: Unfortunately the Gigapan Epic Pro was not tested by Gigapan with the Fujifilm GFX 100. It does include a compatible cable though. You may want to try it and if it does not work return it within 30 days. Keep the box and all accessories to be able to return.

[+90° to -55°] Impressive! This compact head exceeded my expectations. It's well-crafted and enjoyable to use. As someone invested in quality RRS support gear, I'm willing to invest in superior products. Specifically searching for a small head for my Osmo Pocket 3 and iPhone, I needed panning capability. Stumbling upon this one with a leveling base, I realized it was the perfect fit. Initially hesitant about the fluid head and handle, thinking it might be more video-oriented than I needed, I took a chance. To my surprise, the fluid motion has significantly enhanced my videos without compromising its use for stills. It's a perfect blend of small size, quality craftsmanship, functionality, and affordability. This product proves you can indeed have it all.

[1.035 lb] I found this video head incredibly convenient for my hiking adventures due to its compact size and leveling base, which allows precise positioning on uneven surfaces. It has worked flawlessly with my Sony 6700 and Tamron 17-70 so far.

[1.035 lb] The 37 mm base makes this head a perfect replacement for a worn-out 3-way tilt and pan head on my old Velbon tripod. The SmallRig head is smaller than the original Velbon head, but the materials and construction (and engineering) are noticeably superior. I use small Olympus and Panasonic cameras so there's no problem with load capacity. And the tripod is no longer a tight fit in its medium-sized carrying case, which is kind of a fringe benefit! I shoot still and panoramic photos, so I don't have an opinion about how suitable this is for video.

[+90° to -55°] Bought this to use with the GH-30 gimbal head. Stong enough to work with my Heaviest camera/lens combo, and has enough pivot to level out the horizon without messing with tripod legs. Only disappointment is the locking screws for the gimbal head are too far apart to use. They don't come in contact with the head. Still give it 5 stars, because i can tighten the center screw enough to lock it down.

[Fluid Head] I do oral history interviews and have several potable studio kits assembled for different travel modes. One of the missing links was a durable tripod head that would provide me the adjustments I desired. I already had a SmallEig CH-10 for use with my iPhone. The CH-20 is perfect for my iPad!

[Fluid Head] This is my first decent video head. It tilts and pans smoothly, the leveling base is very useful and it feels sturdy without being any larger or heavier than necessary. The only part that feels cheap is the extendable handle.

I do wish the quick release plate was a bit easier to take off. On my ball head there is a lever which locks the QR plate in place, but on this head it's secured by a screw instead, which makes it take a bit longer to take the camera on/off the tripod. Not a big deal since for video work I'm usually not taking the camera off the tripod very often, but it is slightly inconvenient.

[Fluid Head] It's not a fluid head, but it is still a great video head. I was looking for a small head to go on my lightweight tripod and this thing works perfectly. Highly recommend.
