Thanks to a revolutionary Class-D amplifier technology, Behringer is able to provide you with enormous power and incredible sonic performance in an easy-to-use, ultra-portable and lightweight package. Class-D amplification makes all the difference, offering the ultimate in energy efficiency and eliminating the need for heavy power supplies and massive heat sinks. This technology makes it possible to design and build extremely powerful products that are significantly lighter in weight than their traditional counterparts, while using less energy and protecting the environment.

Behringer drew from their considerable experience to build the B215D performance-grade loudspeaker and made it lighter (45.2 lb) and more powerful. With custom-engineered Class-D power amps for the ultimate in power and efficiency, backed by SMPS (Switch Mode Power Supply) technology, your B215D loudspeaker can run cool all day and all night without even breaking a sweat, or your back.

With its 550W of clean digital output delivered through separately powered drivers, courtesy of true bi-amping (two amplifiers per speaker system), the B215D delivers high-resolution sound that really brings out the best in your music. While some competitors apply simple passive crossovers, which inaccurately separates the frequency spectrum and degrade driver performance, Behringer has gone the extra mile, driving each woofer and tweeter with a separate amplifier for absolute signal integrity.

Powerful, high-efficiency Class-D amplifiers and Switching-Mode Power Supply technology coupled with state-of-the-art DSP functionality sounds impressive, but what about the part of the system you actually hear? The LF (low frequency) and HF (high frequency) transducers are designed specifically for each application.

The B215D cranks out massive quantities of low end, with articulate, detailed mids, and crystal-clear highs. The 15" low-frequency driver also utilizes a large, exponential horn design for an ultrawide dispersion, providing excellent coverage from a single speaker.

Thanks to its trapezoidal shape, the B215D is suitable for a wide variety of applications, such as mounting on standard speaker poles, vertical placement atop subwoofers, or even laid on the side for use as onstage monitor wedges. B215D's extraordinary fidelity and frequency response make it a favorite of vocalists and instrumentalists alike.

Hookup is simple, requiring only a single XLR or 1/4" TRS cable from your mixing console and power. Additional active monitors can be chained together via the XLR Link Output jack on the rear panel.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What’s the average battery run time on a full charge

A: This system is not battery powered.

Q: 2. Can one purchase a replacement battery holder?

A: You should be able to purchase a replacement battery case for the Roland BA-330 Portable Stereo PA Amplifier and Speaker System directly from Roland. It is not a part that is sold through a retail shop. You can reach Roland customer support by phone at 323-890-3700.

Q: 3. How much does the PW50 weigh?

A: The total weight of this unit is 14.7 lb (6.7 kg)

Q: 4. Is this enough for vocals and keyboards when there are drums in the band??

A: Yes, the Samson Expedition XP800 800W Portable PA System can be used for vocals and keyboards with a band that has drums. However, the size of the room and the acoustics, as well as the volume of the drums and other instruments it will be used with will determine whether the XP800 PA System can provide sufficient power and volume to be used with that specific setup.

Q: 7. I'm looking for a pa system for video presentation. Does this have all audio connections for a dvd or blue ray player? Thank you.

A: The mixer in this PA system has analog RCA audio connections for line level sources. If the dvd/ blu-ray player has RCA outputs then yes, this should work. If not, you would need a de-embedder to place in between the player and tv to separate out the audio. Here is an example, BH #KAHAECOAX3.

Q: 8. Can I adjust the volume of the satellite speakers and the subwoofer separately?

[Signal Limiter] These units are purchased by my organization for use in remote areas to share educational videos to indigenous peoples. They can literally be heard over the next mountain or two! They are tough as nails and have super clarity. One unit usually works well for every sized group from a few meeting in a small room to hundreds on a mountainside. The fact that it's multi-volt and has two microphone jacks is also very helpful. We gave up on Anchor-brand units since they kept burning up/blowing out and simply weren't as versatile and tough, and were more expensive. The guys in the field using them all the time are now demanding only this unit.

[1.9 kHz] This is the third one I have purchased. THey are reliable, sound great, flexible, and have many options similar products do not. I use them in my church for stage monitors and piano monitors. THey fill in the sound perfectly without taking up floor space and without blasting because they are close to you. THe volume is fully adjustable from stage, so no worries about the sound man giving you problems. I love them.

[1x IEC Input] ...Just about nothing else will do all of this from a package that a toddler can carry... 1) Achieve a perfect mix from EITHER of these two combinations: a) Two mics, (48v Phantom or not) plus a replay unit, plus a line level source from its rear XLF socket, or b) Any instrument pickup, (no DI box needed) plus one mic, (48v or not) plus a replay unit, plus a line level source from its rear XLF ... and then... 2) Accurately MONITOR that mix prior to passing it on, hum free, (at either mic or line level) to another speaker or an FOH console. 3) Sit atop its supplied non-twist spigot attached to an On Stage Stands Posi-Lok Mini Boom (MSA9502 for a mic stand, or MSA9508 for clamping to almost anything else) to achieve perfect monitoring ...in exactly the right place, ...from exactly the right angle, ...with virtually NO footprint. 4) Fill a small to medium-sized venue with crystal clear, coherent sound from something roughly the size of a shoe box, that only weighs about the same as a six-pack. 5) Save the world. ...OK, ...so (just possibly) the fifth may be a slight exaggeration... ...And I heartily advise AGAINST Mackie's suggestion of using their flimsy, short, dual-threaded pipe adapter to place this speaker in the middle of the boom stand that's holding a vocal mic above the SRM150. In my experience, that simply does not work. I have, however, successfully HUNG an SRM150 from an On Stage Stands MSA 9508 carefully (but securely) screwed into the Mackie's plastic top thread. So, on what have I based the more reasonable first four of my five assertions? I own two SRM150's that travel as a kit in a diced-foam lined Gator Utility case that also houses their IEC mains leads, a pair of pre-angled Posi-Lok Mini Booms (with Mackie's supplied non-twist spigots attached) and assorted adapter cables. Have done for nearly a year. Lethal force will be required should anyone wish to deprive me of them.

[65 Hz to 20 kHz] There's a reason these are such common work horses!

[65 Hz to 20 kHz] I use this amp as a monitor/DI at a small club. I run my mics into it and then run a cable from the the thru port in the back to the house. The sound is clear as abell, the unit is solid and everything works the way I want. Great choice.

[Optical Limiter] I purchased this to use when singing at venues without sound for vocals. It works wonderfully. Additionally the size means I can put it in a bowling ball.bag or my larger messenger bag and be completely functional.

I also like that I can carry it with mebto all gigs that have sound as an optional monitor for myself.

Great little gift to.myself! The next day delivery was a plus!

[Black] Got this to replace old BOSS personal monitors I've been using for over 15 years and this is one of those replacements that made me wonder why I waited so long to do. Loads of power for both DJ and live performance applications, self contained and easy to transport. I especially like the boom attachment feature which allows me to put the SRM150 on a mic stand and have the boom part of the stand come out of the top of the 150. It don't get any better than this!

[126 dB SPL] I play shows and small jazz gigs as a full time 40 year professional, this speaker is wonderful, feather weight, punchy with plenty of power. I can hear the bass drum, keys, horns and vocals perfectly. It sits on the mike stand where I can reach it to make any small adjustments and it's so lightweight that I can easily move it around with one arm. The case is overpriced for what it is but provides space for a mike, mike cord and microphone, so it sits complete, if I need a monitor I just grab and go. Can't say enough about wonderful things about B&H, they are very helpful, patient and knowledgeable, the speaker got to me across the country in 2 days! Love those guys and love this little 6lb. powered monitor. In medium or small gigs it's perfect, should of bought it years ago. Thank you Mackie snd B&H!
