Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. is this 802.11 ac and n etc retro compatible?

A: Yes, it is backwards compatible.

Q: 2. The title says Bluetooth 5.3 but its 5.2 on the box. How do I confirm if its truly 5.3 plus how long is the cable?

A: The TP-Link Archer TXE75E AXE5400 Wireless Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6E & Bluetooth 5.3 PCIe Adapter supports Bluetooth 5.3 through a firmware update. Units manufactured before the firmware update may sat Bluetooth 5.2 on the box, but they can be updated to Bluetooth 5.3. The length of the cable is not specified by the manufacturer.

Q: 3. How many radios are in this AP? to get the maximum throughput I would assume 3 radios as they would operate simultaneously.

A: The Ubiquiti Networks UniFi U7 Pro Tri-Band Wi-Fi 7 Access Point uses a single tri-radio that allows all three bands to operate simultaneously for connection to 300+ devices. Please see the build features listed by Ubiquiti here: https://bhpho.to/3Mfk9Qf

Q: 4. Hi, is this compatible with Xfinity / Comcast?

A: The Netgear Orbi RBK853 AX6000 is compatible with Xfinity and Comcast.

Q: 5. Is this satellite RBS750 fully compatible with the Netgear router RBR850 base unit?

A: The two units would be compatible.

Q: 6. Can you use another pro 6E router as a fourth extender or is it just as good to get the 6 extender you referenced? BH #EE6MWFE

A: Yes, you can use an additional eero Pro 6E as a fourth mesh router with the eero Pro 6E AX5400 Wi-Fi 6E Tri-Band Gigabit Mesh System (Router Only, White). Using the eero 6 Mesh Wi-Fi Extender, B&H # EE6MWFE, as a fourth router will work as well, but the unit does not support as much throughput and does not have a 6 GHz band that connected devices could utilize.

Q: 7. Does the modem built in !! And does it work with optimum

A: The modem is sold separately, this is the router. It is compatible with Optimum.

Q: 8. can i use ac-pro ceiling mount for mounting u7 pro max?

[3.1 to 4.4 dBi] This is my new primary AP. I've run it for nearly 6 months without issue. It's the top tear WiFi 6 offering from Ubiquiti in 2023. It checks all the boxes with Upstream MIMO, WPA3, 2.5GbE wired uplink, and 6GHz channel support.

The attached photo shows a device connected to WiFi6E achieving better than 1Gbps over wifi. Unifi automatically selects 160MHz channel width for the virtually untouched 6GHz band (as of summer 2023.) This let's devices cut loose even at 2x2 MIMO as shown.

Other than performance that's frankly overkill for simple web browsing but most welcome during photo backup, it's very much a standard AP. It needs 802.11at POE and it's a little power hungry at 14W at rest. It will uplink at 1GbE if you don't have switch with multigig support. But then the Unifi 6 Pro is probably a better option for that use case.

Unifi is a prosumer class enterprise networking solution. If offers single pane of glass management of APs, switches, and gateways. You do need a cloud hosted controller or a local controller (Unifi Cloud Key). You also need some intermediate level knowledge of networking. But it offers a powerful set of tools such as VLANs, considerable configuration flexibility, and frequent patches and security updates. I've been using Unifi since 2018 and am very pleased with the performance and price point

[Auto-MDIX/MDI] We swapped over to Ubiquiti from Aerohive / Extreme a while back and haven't needed to look back. The new Wi-Fi 6 access points perform very well in dense areas. Companies who may have needed 3-4 APs before are working fine with 1-2 of these. This U6 Enterprise is a splurge for home use. Very happy over the years with Ubiquiti. Packaging and presentation is good and feels premium. Not much else to say - gets the job done.

[Auto-MDIX/MDI] Purchased one of these from B&H as a replacement AP (WIFI5). Worked very well for about two or three weeks then started to fail intermittenly. Called B&H about a replacement and they sent a replacement to me quickly. (Thank you B&H) This AP is working quite well now with coverage throughout my 2200 sq ft house. Other than having a defective one the first time out, I would give thia AP a good review. It is more streamlined then the previous one and coverage is much better.

[Wall, Ceiling] This is my first U7 pro. I've used UI equipment for 5+ years. The U7 is noticably more robust. Speed tests are about 10%-20% faster that U6 Pro. (Unscientific!) Installation is as easy as all the other AC Pro models. No issues or complaints.
