This Ball Head from Shape is a compact ball head with a load capacity of 5 lb. It can rotate 360° and has a locking knob that controls all motions of the ball.

The ball head can be mounted either to a camera's hot shoe, any cold shoe mount, or any male 1/4"-20 mount. It has a male 1/4"-20 stud on top to mount a camera, monitor, microphone, or other gear.

A: I will have to measure it. They are used to hold professional Sony video cameras in our church. The rod can be removed and re-attached. They are approximately 8 inches without me measuring. Excellent product very heavy duty which we needed for video camera and pan/tilt device under it.
