Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How many external monitor can be connected to the dock?

A: 2

Q: 2. Does it support Apple pro M1 2021?

A: This hub is designed for use with specific models. See the list of compatible models in the Overview tab.

Q: 3. If I plug my MacBook Pro charger into the USB-C port of this device, will it keep my MacBook Pro charged?

A: Yes, this can charge a Macbook Pro.

Q: 4. Will this safely charge a 2019 16" MacBook Pro? The MBP 16" charger is 96w, this is 85w and I am concerned about damage.

A: There won't be any damage, it will simply charge a bit slower.

Q: 5. Can this hub read an external hard drive larger than 3GB through the USB ports?

A: No. 2 TB is the maximum. And it keeps turning on and off halfway reading the external hard drive. You better get a simple USB-C to USB-A adapter at Amazon Basic.

Q: 6. Will this support (power) an apple super drive from any of it type A connectors? (Intend for use with an M1 macbook pro)

A: Hi, the question is really about supplying enough power to the apple super driver, which is a DVD reader/writer. The drive will work on my 2017 macbook pro if I use a straight (not smart, not active) USB-C - USB-A adapter plugged directly into one of the 4 thunderbolt ports, but will not work with the cal-digit dongle, for example. With the M1 Macbooks I only get two ports; if I use one to power the laptop, and plug the drive+adaptor, that leaves *NO* ports for anything else.

Q: 7. Can both HDMI ports be used at the sametime for monitors back to a laptop on the USBC?

A: Yes, it is dual 4K 60Hz HDMI output.

Q: 8. Does this work on a 2015 MacBook Pro?

A: No, the MacBook pro 2015 model only contains the thunderbolt 2 connection. An adaptor would be required.

Q: 9. How do I connect a microphone to the combo audio i/o?

A: You would need something like the StarTech Headset Adapter BH #STMUYHSMFF.

Q: 10. Can I plug this with an thunderbolt 2 cable so I can connect my Imac 27 late 2015 with the dock? It will work as a extend or mirror of my MacBook Pro 2017

A: This will need a Thunderbolt 3 connection.

[Aluminum] Having bought one from from Amazon (threw out in three days), this keyboard is the bomb, Of note, the red indicator for low battery does not work for me. However, the return' key dies, and this tells you time to charge.

[2.155 lb] Works great with my new MacBook Pro. All my external drives with my photos connect with USB 2. MacBook is USB 3. This device does what it needs to do.

[2.155 lb] Plug all your disks, sound, card readers, ethernet, flash drives, hide this mess behind your screens, and just connect the TB4 cable to your MBP (on a vertical stand for purists). One cable to rule them all = pretty cool. Makes your desk super slick. Provides power to your laptop too, so no more need for magsafe. All SSD's connected are functioning at top speed. Everything works wonder. Well worth the price. Build quality and finish are excellent.

[8 x 6.2 x 2.8"] This fits 16 M1 MacBook Pro perfectly. All the ports work perfectly with one port having Thunderbolt 4 full speed and the display shuts perfectly even when installed. Just what the doctor ordered.

[2.155 lb] This hub is so helpful! My current desktop setup has my computer hidden away, so having this to plug USB devices and SD cards into is very handy! It has super fast transfer speeds, and looks great too! No complaints from me!

[Aluminum] I needed a Bluetooth keyboard for my home office. I'm a programmer and use the keyboard all day. I have ordered the Logitech MX Keys and immediately returned it because of issues with the back light. This keyboard is cheaper and of much higher quality. It's a great product on par with Apple's own much more expensive Bluetooth keyboard. I'm not one to write reviews, but felt this one was worth the time.

[Aluminum] Solid keyboard that works like it should. Had another brand for a while that would frequently lose connection. This one doesn't have that problem.

[2.155 lb] It's very good, it does what is intended to do, the sitback is that the only support it has to withstand the weight of a usb cable is just the usb-c connected to the laptop.
to me this can ruin the usb-c port of the laptop so if I ever need to plug in a usb cable I have to take this multi connector out first.
