[Latch] Good quality case with easy to remove/customize foam. Latches appear to be very sturdy. FYI, unlike some Nanuk cases, the handle is spring loaded, so it does not stay up.

[Handle] I wanted a hard case to store my valuable camera equipment and know it would be well protected. But I wanted it small enough so I would able to be carry onto an airline (like I am going to send my Steal me first case as checked baggage).

From the published dimensions for checked baggage I have seen on the web, the Nanuk 940 appears to be small enough to qualify as carry on baggage. What I can say for sure, it is large enough to store all of my gear.

It easily holds my Nikon D810 and D7100 camera bodies, as well as 5 lenses, 2 of which are large telephoto lenses, one being quite large (see photo). It also holds 2 Nikon battery chargers and spare batteries, spare memory cards, cables, filters, and assorted other stuff. And it is not over packed. There is plenty of “wiggle” room so none of the items are hard to remove or place back into the case.

This is my 4th Nanuk case and I have been very satisfied with all of them.  They are very well constructed and appear to be built to take a beating yet protect the items stored within. I like the way the latches work in that when you open the latch fully, it folds back making it easy to clear the case lid.

It is great they are available in an assortment of colors, making it easy to store specific items in specifically colored cases (e.g. my Drones and equipment is kept in orange cases, my DSLR camera stuff in yellow, and my action cameras and gimbles in black).

I do like the fact the foam in the lid is held in place with Velcro rather than being glued in place, so you can store some paperwork between the foam and the lid. 

About the only thing I don’t like about the cases is the cost of the padded dividers. Nearly 90 bucks for the set for the Nanuk 940 is crazy. That’s very close to the cost of the empty case. I will say the pieces appear to be very well sewn together and should last a life time.

If you are looking for a well-constructed, hard plastic case, I can wholeheartedly recommend these cases.  flk k

[Olive Green] This case arrived fast and was perfect for my needs! I like the added touches such as the screw mounts already mounded into the case it’s perfect!

[Handle] Great case, built solid. Foam comes in 2 pieces, wish you could choose it to be 1. If you tear a lot of the foam to fit your equipment it can be floppy when you take the equipment out, only complaint.

[Handle] I have long wanted this case to hold my Televue 85 refracting telescope and the hydrogen-alpha etalon and blocking filter so I can safely transport it. Well, I can also fit three 1.25 eyepieces, one 2 eyepiece, a 2 diagonal and a barlow lens. Everything fits perfectly, the foam is durable but simple enough to pluck to the exact size needed. Now I can bring my refractor kit with me wherever I go with everything I might want to use with it. The olive color was on sale but it's a similar color to the tube of my scope so I know exactly what's in it.

[Yes] Good item, it fits my camera and stabilizer well. The most important thing is I love this color!

[Yes] I bought this case so I could attach it to the back seat area of my F550 which has a camper attached. It is now bolted very securely to the floor and now I feel my camera equipment is more secure from theft.

[Handle] Our first Nanuk case, won't be the last. Seems like everything about this case is better than the other brands we own.
