Control and protect your sound system with the Ashly ne4800ASD, a network-enabled DSP processor that offers easy setup and control using standard 10/100 Ethernet protocol and Protea ne software. The ne4800ASD features four option bays for expanded functionality. This model includes the 4-channel AES3 Input card, 8-channel AES3 output card, and Dante network card.

The rear panel utilizes Euroblock connectors for easy and secure wiring. Additionally, the 12V Digital Logic I/O uses a 9-pin Euroblock connector that can be assigned to trigger a preset recall or push-to-talk mic function. A 10-pin Euroblock connector is for the 5 VDC Remote Level Control, which allows for up to eight user-defined remote DC level controls.

All programming is accomplished using standard 10/100 Ethernet or RS-232 protocol and Protea ne software on a PC platform. A: The Audinate Dante AVIO 2x2 USB Type-A I/O Adapter for Dante Audio Network uses USB 2.0, so no compatibility issues should arise when using it with a USB-A to USB-C adapter.

Q: 2. Does this additionally provide a general Ethernet network interface, or is it just Dante audio?

A: Dante only

A: Audinate has not provided a spec for the amount of bus power used by the Dante AVIO 2x2 USB Type-A I/O Adapter for Dante Audio Network.

Q: 4. So the "virtual sound card" is not necessary when using this device?

A: There is no additonal soundcards or software needed to use this I/O.

Q: 5. Will it work with the Yamaha LS9

A: Unfortunately not, compatible with TF-series mixers only. LS9 mixer requires the DANTE-MY16-AUD2 card, we are not authorized to sell that card, you need to contact Yamaha directly for more assistance.

Q: 6. Is the USB C Cable detachable?

A: The USB-C cable is removeable.

Q: 7. Is a Dante Card required or is it built in?

A: The Yamaha Tio1608-D2 comes equipped with a Dante card, and you do not need to purchase one separately.

Q: 8. I am running the TF5 with the N 64 card but can only access 40 channels how do I access the full 64 on the console

A: I am using this on a TF1. The TF boards seem to be limited to 1 to 1 routing of the Slot channels (Slot 1 goes to fader 1). For the TF5 it looks like you can only have access to 48 channels of the Slot so you cannot use all 64 at the same time. You could, however, use the Dante Controller to change the routing of the channel matrix to get access to channels other than 1-48.

Q: 9. I there a warranty for a used unit ?

A: This used TASCAM SS-R250N Memory Recorder with Networking and Optional Dante Support comes with a warranty provided by B&H for a period of 90 days.

Q: 10. Is this compatible with 01V96 mixers?

A: Unfortunately it will not work with the 01V96 mixer. That expansion is only made for the TF series.

I use this product in our committee rooms, legislative house, and senate chambers. It is very easy to add and network together for the perfect control. It would be nice to have a web connect feature for internet remote access control (hint, hint). 5

Audinate Dante AVIO 2x2 AES3/EBU I/O Adapter for Dante Audio NetworkS works perfectly. Just add to your Dante network, POE switch or injector required, route audio in Dante Controller and you are set! Great economical solution when you need a pair of AES3 audio inputs and/or outputs. Highly recommended. 5

Since Presonus does not provide Dante capability in their StudioLive mixers, this adapter is a good way to add it for at least four output streams from one of the mixer's mix busses. Great for sending Dante streams to remote powered speakers, saving mixer analog outputs for other uses. 5
