Change the viewer to a direct input from video hardware such as a switcher multiview.

To mark an event during your broadcast, press the POI button or the space bar when your desired input is selected. This will set the POI time from the input timecode, switch to the source view, and cue the POI.

Press "Go to End" if you get distracted while editing your selected clip and miss an event. This takes you to the end of the recently recorded media and allows you to scroll back and see what happened.

DaVinci Resolve can play all of your camera angles simultaneously into a multiview configuration so you can use your Replay Editor and find the best angle for your replay.

Enable an auto stinger before you start a replay to automatically roll a stinger before or after rolling your clip. You can select different stingers using the title keys.

When rolling a replay, use the cut and dissolve buttons to select the type of transition you want. Each time you select a new camera you will see your transition of choice.

The run button starts a replay and enables the key channel output so the switcher will display the playback and start the auto stinger. It also starts logging when adding the replay to the timeline.

Execute live speed changes with the slider control to slow playback speed on both the viewer and the timeline. When you slow all the way to stop the search dial lets you move around the paused area.

Use the camera buttons to cut between up to 16 sources when playing to air. The viewer will continue to show a multiview and the selected camera will output to the video output.

If you press a time key and a cam button while playing to air, DaVinci Resolve will jump playback to the selected time before the POI.

The dump button stops replay and adds the shots to the timeline if one is selected. It can also run the auto stinger.

The new timeline key will save the current timeline and open a new one with a similar name. This allows you to efficiently create a new timeline for each replay clip.

[5.095 lb] I am just new to the DaVinci Resolve program and have used Adobe Premier PRO 6 when it was not part of the Adobe cloud , DaVinci puts editors back in control of editing again.

The speed editor makes editing much easier to scan and insert clips into a timeline. I am still learning the ropes of its power but so far I LIKE IT!!

[5.095 lb] This is my first Blackmagic Design hardware acquisition and I must say, quality is the name of the game here. From the search dial to the excellently placed keys, you definitely know they took the time to make this. And the weight of it is solid. I also love that it's USB-C and Bluetooth.

Nothing beats this product for the price and size. Excellent first buy for any Video Editor.

[6 W] Little bit of learning curve but once you get it it works very well and speeds up efficiency,

[Battery] This device makes the DaVinci Resolve cut page easier and faster to use (once your fingers learn the patterns, of course) To understand the plus and minus side of that you need to understand a bit of how Resolve is structured. The cut page is intended for fast editing, largely oriented around blog or quick edits. This device works great for that. The more intense formal editing done on a a major motion picture may not find either this device or the cut page it supports to be very interesting. Some buttons on the speed editor match functions on the edit page, and these work, of course. But a serious editor will be happier with the (MUCH more expensive) other control tablets available from Black Magic. On the other hand, if you move quickly and get this Speed Editor for free as part of licensing DaVinci Resolve you are a BIG winner if you are in the right user group.

[6 W] For the price of a Resolve license you get a free Speed Editor, can't ask for more. Really easy to use and very helpful once I got used to it.

[6 W] I work as a professional Colorist at a premier facility and I have finally moved up to the new panel... What a relief to have a panel specifically designed for the task! The angle of the screens is perfect and ability to customize the button lights really makes this control surface blend right in to the post production work flow environment. I wish the keyboard had some illumination though because I like to use keyboard shortcuts often and in the low light environment it's just a little dim. Hook up was a breeze and my mac pro recognized it immediately.. Good Job Black Magic

[5.095 lb] The Speed Editor feels very robust and precise to the touch, and lives up to Black Magic;s reputation for quality. It currently works best with the Resolve Cut Page, but is already getting some support in other pages. As a tool for quickly making rough (or even clean) edits, it is fantastic! I still have to develop muscle-memory for it, but the layout is very well thought out and logical even when using for the first time. Combined with Resolve’s “Source Tape” feature, the speed editor, really lives up to its name, making it an absolute pleasure to zip through multi-clip assembly and edit.

[Battery] As soon as I saw the first reviews I wanted to have the keyboard, and it did not dissapoint. It is easy to use, and intuitive. It really sped up my workflow. I hope to see the speed editor support the edit page more, as it is geared towards the cut page. The build quality is fantastic and the form factor makes it easy to integrate a setup with mouse and keyboard without cluttering the desk too much.
