[Neutral] The best way to go anamorphic at a budget price using the full size of an MFT sensor like on ZCam E2. Top quality build and image. Just an error in the B&H description: the filter size is 67mm!!!

[62 mm x 0.75] This lens is awesome, and produces clean images with real cinematic effects. I have the complete Venus T2.9 set (35mm, 50mm, 75mm, 100mm, 135mm, 150mm plus the 1.25 adapter that produces a 2x squeeze when paired with the 1.6x anamorphic squeeze of the lenses). The lenses produce uniform colors all throughout the set, and images are sharp wide open at T2.9. Somehow SIRUI has managed to make these primes sharp wide open, but not too sharp, given you that movie like look without any diffusion filters on the front of your lens. If you haven't tried the anamorphic look, you have no idea what your projects are missing. As result of purchasing this set, my G Masters and spherical Cine primes are collecting dust. The SIRUI 1.6x T 2.9 Venus Anamorphic lenses are a great set of glass.

[2.125 lb] The results of the Anamorphic lens on the R5c are amazing. The lens has the right amount of sharpness. The bokeh and the lens flares add a nice look to your film. I plan on buying the 75mm version when it is released :)

[50mm] .I would characterize myself as an amateur filmmaker, or at least a serious hobbyist, who has had no experience with cinematic lenses. This lens was an absolute blast to experiment with. It's a solidly built metal body, with smooth-turning geared focus and aperture rings. It is manual focus, but with the use of focus peaking, very sharp images can be achieved. Not coming from a cinema background, T-stops are a bit mysterious to me, but the wide T2.9 aperture (which I've read is roughly equivalent to f2.1) allows lower ISOs in low light conditions. [50mm] Surprisingly amazing little anamorphic lens. Sharp & full of character when paired with the Red Komodo.

[8.3 x 5.2 x 5"] I've been re-using my existing photo primes with my video camera, but when I discovered anamorphic I immediately knew that I must have one -- I love that look. So this has been my first dedicated cinema lens -- that is, not something that was originally meant for still photos.

Since I don't have other cinema lenses yet, I can't say how this compares to others. But I can definitely say that it's a dramatic difference from photo lenses! The size is impressive, and the adjustment rings are far more useful to me than anything I've used before. I'm looking forward to adding follow-focus.

I think the 1.3x ratio is probably just a bit less impressive than the exaggerated effect that I was perhaps hoping for, but nonetheless it still looks great -- especially for the price.


All in all, I am very satisfied with the purchase.

[50mm] Just shot a very low light concert with this lens and wow, really looks amazing.

[T2.9] I own all the Sirui 1.33 series anamorphic’s in Sony E mount (24,35,50,75mm APSC) and was looking for a commensurate solution for my Blackmagic pocket 6K Pro. Not only does the adapter work perfectly with my adapted vintage Nikon glass (28, 35, 50, 85mm AI-S series) but also works perfectly from 24-35mm on the amazing Sigma 18-35, and from 70-135 on the super sharp Canon 70-200. A very cost effective solution with impressive results.
