A: This is an inherent design flaw in this arm; no matter how tightly you think you've secured it, the arm will still move at inopportune times. This isn't the best solution unless you already have the gear, but what I've done is to attach one end of a Magic Arm (also by Bogen) to the tripod with a Superclamp (ditto) and the other end to the lateral arm with another Superclamp. This technique also works well to stabilize a Magic Arm-mounted camera to a support like a stepladder, but requires two MagicArms, three Superclamps, and a camera mounting plate.

Q: 2. I want to adapt Nikkor AI lenses to PL Mount, not LPL. Is this possible?

A: Since Nikkor AI lenses have a shorter flange mount distance than PL mount lenses, it would not be possible to use a mount such as the Simmod Nikon F Lens to ARRI LPL Camera Conversion Mount for PL.

A: It works well for my Canon 80D, but 5D is heavier by about 10 grams, so maybe you should be a little more careful how you mount it.

[CNC Aluminum] It’s kinda simple, it adds a baby pin to the cart, but that’s great! I use it as a light mount, one less C stand to carry around. Or I use it as a Steadimate Steadicam stand while balancing my rig or between shoots. Very handy to have. Only minor complaint, it would be nice to have the hardware that lets you clamp on the hardware after the cart is assembled instead of having to install before the top shelf is on. That said, it’s not something you rearrange a ton. 5

[CNC Aluminum] This slider is solid, itâs pretty heavy but thatâs what you want in a slider so you donât get any vibrations. Itâs super smooth like butter. Highly recommend! 5

[CNC Aluminum] It took forever for this boom arm to get here, due to it being on backorder. But now that I have it, it's going to work perfectly for my overhead camera shots. Sturdy, well-built, functional. And comes with plenty of counterweights to keep the arm from leaning. 5

[19 oz / 540 g] Got this to support a camera while doing table top photography of small objects. Allows the camera to get closer while the tripod can't get any closer to the table top set up. Counterweights really do balance the rig. 5

[CNC Aluminum] I purchased this to take overhead product images. I felt good about putting my camera on this arm due to it's solid construction, and the flexibility of the rotating connector was just what I needed. Like always shipping was super fast and I had it two days before the last minute shoot! 5

[CNC Aluminum] Works great overhead shooting down or as an extension for shooting up. As others have noted, there is a little flex, but with the counterweights it settles down quickly. I had an issue with the head loosening so I emailed support. They got back to me immediately for details. I figured out that the top ball really needs to be tightened down and it does take quite a bit of torque, but the nut can handle a great deal of force. Any shortcoming aside, the customer service experience makes it 5 stars. 5

[19 oz / 540 g] All you need, The Dolly system is very well-built and ready for professional use. The included 8-feet of rails are rigid and have no flex with my camera rig (Canon c200b). Even though the unit comes with legs I purchased two Impact Turtle Base C-Stand (Chrome-plated, 5.9') cstands to use as mounts. Very happy with the purchase!! 5
