A: The FUJIFILM VG-XT4 Vertical Battery Grip does not come with the batteries or an AC adapter. The grip does not have or use an AC adapter. The batteries in the vertical battery grip will charge when the grip is attached to a camera that is connected to an AC-5VJ AC adapter via a USB cable.

A: Yes, the FUJIFILM VG-XT4 Vertical Battery Grip can be used with select Fujifilm cameras with no batteries in the battery grip.

A: The XT4 with the battery grip is barely taller, not enough to make a difference but it is noticeably thicker.

A: Boost mode and Economy mode adjust camera and viewfinder performance and increase and decrease battery consumption respectively. [1.045 lb] My big mitts love this grip. Plus it has controls built in. Holding my X-T4 without this grip is awkward for me because of the camera's size and my hand size. It does add a little weight and makes my camera too big to be stealthy. The ergonomics makes me a big fan. 5

[1.045 lb] This battery grip has a few advantages: a) adds 200% more power (XT-4 goes from one battery to three batteries, b) allows all three batteries to be charged simultaneously with USB-C cable plugged into XT-4 camera, c) and allows for more comfortable grip when using portrait mode. However, since the XT-4 battery has significantly more power than the XT-1/2/3 battery, (1200mA-hr versus 2200mA-hr) you may not need a grip. However, I would always purchase a second battery for any of my cameras. Once you purchase a grip, you must add 2 more batteries (grip $330, batteries $70 adds to $470 without shipping and tax) to make it work. 5

[1.045 lb] Great accessory to help with my grip on my X-T4. I have medium sized hands and I had a weird time gripping it. I am very used to the grip on my Sony A7III and Canon DSLR, so having this has helped tremendously. Also, great to add more weight when trying to get stable handheld videos. Highly recommend. 5

[1.045 lb] Useful for extra battery power when doing long shoots. Feels great in the hand and well balanced when shooting vertical. This is not a necessary accessory since the new battery lasts longer than previous batteries for X-T cameras. The opening clip on the battery compartment doesn't have the spring clip as on X-T2 and X-T3 and I wish it did but it still locks in place. 5

[1.045 lb] The X-T4 grip is fantastic. It holds two of Fuji's new NP-W235 batteries (not included) which will allow you to shoot basically all day. It also provides a headphone jack for audio monitoring. Ergonomically, this grip feels great in the hand, and makes the camera larger than previous X-T models, but smaller than the X-H1, so just about the perfect size. Buttons and dials are clicky and tactile, but feel premium like the X-H1's. My only complaint is the price. $329 USD seems pretty steep for a battery grip, but what are you going to do. 5
