Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this mic compatible with Behringer X Air 18? Maybe with trs to xlr adapter? If yes, does it need the phantom power? And what adapter is recommended?

A: No. This mic requires "plug in" power, it will not work with phantom power. It is designed for use with cameras and cell phones.

Q: 2. I'm not getting any signal from the headphone output. I'm using a standard 1/8th 3.5 mm headphone. Any suggestions?

A: Have you tried a different pair of headphones to see if that works? What do you have the microphone connected to?

Q: 3. Assuming these also work with ipad air?

A: Yes, the Movo Photo EDGE-DI-DUO 2-person wireless system is compatible for use with the iPad Air.

Q: 4. I can record voice memo but no audio with Filmic pro or iPhone video app!

A: The information Raul provided should be helpful. You can also try turning closing the apps and then turning off the phone to reset everything. Then connect the receiver and relaunch the app you are going to use.

Q: 5. I not a big fan of the TRRS to TRS cable that connects to the camera. Can anyone recommend a coiled cable that would work?

A: For a coiled TRRS to TRS cable, you can use the Rode SC7 (B&H # ROSC7) or the Saramonic SR-PMC2 (B&H # SASRPMC2).

Q: 6. compatible with macbook?

A: The Movo Photo EDGE-DI-DUO 2-Person Digital Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System for iPhones (2.4 GHz) features a Lightning connector for connecting to inputs found specifically on iPhones and would not be compatible with other connections found on the Macbook.

Q: 7. I have this microphone with the Rode SC7 cable, they seem to be incompatible with canon cameras (works with the GH5 but not the Canon R6 nor G7Xiii). When I switch cable back to the Movo original cable, it works. Why is that? Connection types should be the same...

A: Certain Rode adapter cables maybe wired in specific ways which prevent them from being used beyond their initial intent. The SC7 was meant to be used to connect a TRS microphone to a smartphone with TRRS connection. In this case, if the Movo cable works for you, I'd stay with that.

Q: 8. Can this system be use with a laptop computer?

A: The receiver can be connected to a 3.5mm dedicated mic jack on a computer. If your computer has a combo headset jack, then you would need an adapter such as this STMUYHSMFF.

Q: 9. Is mic compatible with Fuji x100v? If "yes", what kind of cable do I need to purchase?

A: Yes, the Movo Photo VXR10 is compatible for use with a Fuji X100V camera. You can use a cable with 3.5mm TRS and 2.5mm TRS end such as the Beachtek SC25 3.5mm to 2.5mm TRS Output Cable (B&H #BESC25) to connect the mic to the camera's 2.5mm input.

Q: 10. one mic is louder than the other. is there anyway to fix this?

A: Make sure that both microphones are connected to the mic input (not the line input) on each of the transmitters. Since the WMX-1-DUO system does not have individual level controls for each transmitter and people do tend to speak at different volume levels, try experimenting with placement of the microphones on each person wearing a mic. Try moving the mic closer to the mouth of the person whose volume is lower or move the mic further away from the mouth of the person whose volume is louder. If you find that there is still an usual difference between the output levels of each mic, please contact us for further assistance so we can do additional troubleshooting to determine whether there may be a problem with one of the mics or transmitters..

[Cable Weight] I was a little nervous about how cheap these would be considering the price but so far they've been very impressive. Certainly not top of the line but they will more than do the job for beginning filmmakers and will likely make for great backups for those who consider themselves intermediate. I strongly recommend them for anyone who is a little intimidated by the price of the Rode Wireless GO II. These are not a waste of your money.

[0.09 lb] You can't beat the quality of this mic for its price. Outstanding! We have another one of these, but the one we just received seems to have a more narrow pick-up pattern despite it still being omnidirectional. Not a huge issue for us, but just know that in advance.

[1] I've tried some of the latest wireless budget friendly options and found this this product to be worth it. I couldn't afford a $600 system but the quality sounds like it! Very little interference if you have the packs far enough apart as intended. Lots of great accessories and the travel case is just the right size. May even order a 2nd set down the road.

[Silver] I have used the microphone for a couple of weeks and they worked great. But in the last time, one of the microphones went out for a second. Luckily l didn't need what the presenter said and l was able to cut the clip. If not I would have given this review a 3 star. If this continues l will call the vendor for a replacement.

[Brass] I have not got a chance to use on a job yet but upon the initial test the system worked and sounded good. Both transmitters had no problems instantly connecting to the receiver. Good value for the money.

[0.09 lb] Just received this and used it a couple times. It sounds good. Plugging this into two different Tascam recorders and no issues. I'm a little concerned about how thin the cable is but I'm sure it will last since I do take care of my gear.

[0.09 lb] Used 4 of these for my last set of interviews. Sound excellent and the cardinal pattern prevented adjacent speaker cross-talk.
