If you're shooting with fluorescent or LED lights, I would guess you'll be ok. If you're using anything that generates a lot of heat, I'd check with the manufacturer for what it can handle regarding heat. As far as coverage, I use this all the time for large groups as my fill light and it works great. You get a lot of diffusion for the price.
