Q: 1. I have a Nikon D4s with XQD card will the CF Express type B reader on this dock read my XQD card formatted in the D4S ?

A: We can not say if the OWC 10 Port Thunderbolt 3 Pro Dock's CFexpress Type B port would be able to read XQD cards. Although they should fit in the port and the connections should align the reader may not recognize the XQD format.

Q: 2. Is this able to charge and control the Aputure MC pro at the same time? If so, how does that work? Is there a second USBC input?

A: The Aputure Active USB-C to 5-Pin DMX In & Out Adapter for MT Pro, MC Pro & INFINIBARs outputs power via USB-C due to the power that comes from DMX cable when connected to a source. If you are using DMX to control your Aputure MC there is only a USB-C input, so in order to control you can use Aputure Active USB-C to 5-Pin DMX In & Out Adapter that will convert the signal and the power from DMX source into Aputure MC. All DMX cables use 1 pin for power ( Ground/Common) and the other 4 for transferring DATA in and out.

Q: 3. will this be a good size for group pictures?

A: One deep silver umbrellas by itself may not be the best choice for a large group due to its more focused light. Many including Photographer Bob Davis will use it effectively, feathering the light and combining it with an additional fill (Deep White). Adding the optional diffusion front will also spread the light more evenly but will also reduce the output of your light.

A: The only difference between the older (now discontinued) Elinchrom Rotalux Softbox Octa (53 ), B&H # ELSBRJO53, and the current Elinchrom Rotalux Octabox (135cm / 53 ), B&H # EL26647, is the original softbox included the Elinchrom speedring which was only compatible with Elinchrom strobes. The current softbox does not include a speedring. As such, you must purchase the speedring separately, but Elinchrom manufactures speedrings for multiple brands which may all use the above softbox. Otherwise, the softboxes are the same.

Q: 5. I'm told this is a "Strobe" light but can it be used as a constant for video production?

A: This is a softbox which fits Elinchrom flash heads and it is not rated for use with continuous lights.

A: Anthony,The Wattage rating is for continuous lighting. Strobes are rated in Watt-Seconds. Your Strobe will work fine with the Umbrella.

Q: 9. Is their a Speed ring made to fit a Dynalite SH2000 Flash Head?

A: The Rotalux speedrings are available also for Profoto, Alien Bee, Bowens, Broncolor, Hensel and Comet. As far as I know.

Q: 10. How long is this umbrella when it is collapsed and in its carrying case? The specs seem to show only shipping size and shaft length.

[AC Power] I was completely new to the DMX universe and I still have a lot to learn but daisy chaining your lights together with DMX cables and having a controller instantly adds a lot of tactile control to your lights. These cables seem well made and as they are permanently attached to my set up I expect them to last a long time. This is the longest run in my set up. It worked instantly and without a hitch. 5

[Metal] This is a great unit for a small lighting setup. I use this in conjunction with my iPad to control 2 Universes of lights. It's easy to assign each port to it's designated universe, and the size keeps it small for a great mobile setup. 5
