Designed as the brightest ARRI full-color Fresnel fixture, the L5-C Plus has a 5" light aperture that offers an increased output up to 90% depending on your settings, such as beam angle and CCT. This fixture has a peak intensity of 48,900 lux at 3.3' (spot beam at 5600K).

The 100-0% dimmable L5-C Plus is a "fully tunable" white light source, allowing you to match existing fixtures with color temperatures from 2800 to 10,000K. The onboard controller allows full minus green to plus green adjustment as well as RGB+W color gamut color mixing with hue and saturation control, enabling matching of specific shades and skin tones. A wide selection of gels are available as well. CRI of 92 and TLCI of 83 ensure color accuracy.

All functions can be controlled via DMX, an ideal feature for broadcast studios, while RDM permits monitoring of the light's status. Control and configuration are extended via Art-Net, sACN, and web page control of light and settings via HTTP.

Power options include the L5-C Plus's 100-240 VAC onboard power supply. A required power cable does not come with this light and needs to be purchased separately.

A key element of the versatility of traditional Fresnels is the ability to spot and flood the beam as needed. Whether it's a flood field for a pullback shot or a tight spot for a bright highlight, the continuous focus-ability of the L-Series Plus lives up to your expectations. And, unlike traditional Fresnels, which have significant light waste in spot focus, the efficient L-Series Plus optical system maintains the same field lumens in all focus positions.

Clear, defined shadows have traditionally been solely a trait of single source tungsten and daylight fixtures. ARRI L-Series Plus Fresnels provide the same single shadow properties lighting designers expect, delivering natural results.

The ARRI sliding stirrup design enables precise adjustment of the fixture's center of gravity, to compensate for front-end accessories. It also gives the option of pulling the fixture back and reducing its hanging height.

Two focus knobs provide the precise adjustment and rapid flood-to-spot that users enjoy from manual, mechanical control. Knobs on both sides of the fixture ensure easy access from all positions, eliminating the need for awkward reaching around the fixture.

The strong tilt-lock provides extremely secure locking, eliminating movement and slippage and ensuring that the fixtures will stay where you put them.

The L5-C Plus allows for firmware updates through the USB port, making sure the light will always perform at its best.

The light is compatible with optional accessories, including the ones that were made for previous L-Series lights. Additionally, the separately available SkyPanel remote can also control the L-Series Plus through a USB connection.

  • Long-term performance for 50,000+ hours
  • Daisy-chain power and data
  • IP20 rated
  • CE, UKCA, CB, ENEC, cNRTLus, FCC, PSE certifications

Q: 3. Why are these 5000K? For true daylight these should be in the 5500/5600 kelvin range. Am I missing something?

A: You are right , a day light balance is average 5600k this makes it slightly a little warmer

Q: 4. It appears that the 150W light in this kit is supplied with a bulb having a 2900 degree color temperature, while the other two lights are supplied with 3200 degree bulbs. Are 3200 degree bulbs available that would fit in the 150 watt housing? And can anyone comment on how likely the 2900 vs 3200 difference is to be a significant issue in video'ing indoor interviews? Thanks.

A: While there are no 3200° K bulbs for the Arri 150 Fresnel, the difference in color temperature can be supplemented with the use of a CTB filter or with a custom white balance setting in the camera.

Q: 5. Are these bulbs tough? Would they last if I set up the lights and tear down every day for different jobs?

A: Yes, these bulbs are tough, so they can last for quite a white between set-ups and tear downs.

Q: 6. Is the adapter for 220 volts just for the plug or do you need a different adapter for the 220 volt bulb?

A: The power cable and switch for this unit suits both 120v or 220-240v no adaptor required. Therefore you can place any voltage lamp that fits the base of this unit. Obviously the lamp voltage should match the voltage of the country or region where you are using this light.

Q: 7. What's the warranty?

A: The Visionsmith ReLamp 650 LED for ARRI 650 Plus Fresnel (Tungsten) has a limited 2-year manufacturer warranty.

Q: 8. Why is this daylight bulb rated at 5000k? For this price you would think they would actually produce a 5500/5600 kelvin product.

A: Hi Sam, Visionsmith ReLamp went with the 5000k standard because their test showed that it produce more pleasing skin tones (as it is a little warmer) than 5500/5600K.

Q: 9. Are these tough? If I set up and break down the ARRI light with the Relamp installed everyday, will it last a long time?

A: Yes, this lamp is made tough and would last quite a long time with set-ups and breakdowns.

Q: 10. Why are these 5000K? For true daylight these should be in the 5500/5600 kelvin range. Am I missing something?

A: These are geared for the Cinema industry and 5000K is the preferred color temperature

[Fan] At Univ. of Florida, in the production program, we work with the 2x650w, 2x300w kit and I have fallen in love with ARRI lights. The 650w is definitely my go-to light. The build is SOLID. You can use it to light the subject or the background (with a cucoloris ex.). It wont punch through gels and diffusions like the T1, but if you need to do that then get a T1. This is a must for filmmakers whether you rent it or buy it; you can never go wrong with a 650w fresnel on set. You'll need it for something sooner or later!

[Fan] My employer is a small sports media production house, he had a box of these things suffering from various issues (they must have been at the very least 10 years old) and I was charged with repairing all of them. The construction on the inside takes Keep it Simple Stupid to a whole new level. For someone who knows nothing about electricity I was able to repair all of them and they work like new despite their age.

[135 W ] I use this light for still photographs, video and even some 8mm and 16mm film production. It has the famous German made Arriflex quality. It's very sturdy and heavy. The focusing fresnel lens turns smoothly and you can focus from pinpoint to flood light. The Arri lenses have that rich warm old school Hollywood glow. THe power cord is included and long enough for most sets and studios. This light gets HOT! Not just warm but VERY HOT! Bring a pair of gloves to adjust the barn doors on front and be careful where you touch the housing. It's not well known but you CAN put a lower watt lamp in here, like a 350 watt to cut down on heat, power consumption and light intensity. The warm light output can be an advantage if working with nudes as it's about as warm as an average space heater! Be sure to get a very good and sturdy set of legs or light stand for this. It's heavy and a cheap stand will topple over and destroy your light or worse, land on a model. There are cheaper fresnel lights out there but build quality is lacking and you will be frustrated in the long run. Old school tungsten lights have a look that cannot be duplicated by LED lights or strobes. Make certain that's the look you want before buying this.

[Fresnel] I already have a compliment of Arri 650, 300, 150 tungsten fresnels that have served me well for over 15 years. I bought this light to dabble into the realm of LED fresnels and after receiving it, bought another. The flexibility in color temperature and dimming without shift is a joy. Build quality is excellent. The adjustment knobs felt a little cheap at first, but they work just fine. Ability to adjust the color is nice for backgrounds but doubt I will use it much if at all. Overall very satified.

[135 W ] These lights are extremely versatile and are very well built. I selected these lights (as well as the L7-C and Skypanel instruments) because of the wide range of CCTs they can produce - from 2800K to 10,000K -- meaning that they can can produce 'white light' for a wide range of 'looks.' Additionally, you can directly control the red, green, blue, and white LEDs that make up the system, allowing a very wide gamut of colors to be reproduced -- all without the need for gels. They are easy to use and, when combined with DMX512 control, can be completely automated. The only issue with the L-series lights is that they tend to go very blue at the low end of the dimmer range (the Skypanels are better in this regard). Otherwise, I really love these lights and would highly recommend them.
