Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is Epson Exhibition Fiber considered "archival"?

A: No, this Epson Exhibition Fiber Paper (17 x 22", 25 Sheets) is not archival (acid free).

Q: 2. I have several (admittedly old) Signature Worthy Sample Packs with this paper. However, the specifications for it seem to be different ... e.g., 95% Brightness vs. 111% Brightness. Is this the same paper? Has Epson changed its specs in the past few years for this paper?

A: Epson may have changed the brightness through the years as technology progresses. This model is 111% Brightness, as listed.

Q: 3. Can this paper be used with an Epson R1900 printer? Many thanks.

A: Yes, Epson Exhibition Fiber Paper can be used with the Stylus R1900.

Q: 4. Can Epson roll Exhibition Fiber Paper be used on a 7600 printer?

A: I have an Epson 7800 printer, so I can't answer based on experience, but the 7600 looks much the same for roll paper. Have a look at the manual for the 7600. (Google epson 7600 printer manual. I would give you the link, but B&H will not permit links in these answers.) In the manual, at page 42, you will see the instructions for loading roll paper (which are very smiler to my 7800). Finally, Epsons have a reputation for being able to print on almost anything (I once heard of a Los Angelino who printed on tortillas), so I would not much worry about being able to print on ANY Epson 24 roll paper.

Q: 5. What happen to the boxes of 25 sheets?

A: 25 sheet box is here: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/528348-REG/Epson_S045039_Exhibition_Fiber_Paper_for.html

Q: 6. Does this paper contain optical brighteners? And if so, do we have any information on archival quality? Would there be a difference in longevity of b&w vs. color prints?

A: Exhibition Fiber is a 325-gsm paper with an exceptional white base and is capable of deep, rich blacks. While it has a fiber paper base and is acid-and lignin-free, it does contain optical brighteners. According to Wilhelm Research, framed under UV glass using pigment inks, they say about 150 years. Album/dark storage is around 200 years. This is for both black and white, and color using pigment inks.

Q: 7. I thought this paper could be used with the Epson Surecolor P800?

A: This paper can be used with a Surecolor P800.

Q: 8. do you use photo black or matte black with this Epson fiber paper when printing on an Epson 4900 printer?

A: Exhibition Fiber paper by Epson is a semi-glossy paper that requires photo black ink.

Q: 9. Can I use this paper with Canon Pro series printer ?

A: Marcello, Yes, you can. Almost all papers can be used in all printers. What becomes specific and a help for accurate printing is that Epson, for example, provides profiles that match the paper to the printer. These profiles will probably not be appropriate for the Canon. However, they can be modified and you can create your own with screen and printer products like ColorMunki. But the simple answer is yes, print and then adjust for better results. Hope this helps.

Q: 10. I assume this can be run through a Canon printer, but does anyone know how well this works? Specifically, any experience printing this paper on a Pixma PRO-100? Thanks.

A: I have a Pro-100. The prints are beautiful (I set the Luster paper in the settings).
