If I am somewhere shooting and there are other Nikon shooters there, once I have gotten quite a few shots and am ready for a short break I will offer to put someones body on the lens and let them get a few shots in with the lens. They aren't taking the lens anywhere or moving the tripod around(other than shifting aim) so what the heck. I enjoy their shots and am glad to help a fellow shooter out. Just don't expect me to do this when there are shots to be had as I will be getting them.
