In fact I did not charge mine at all I just plugged it in and plugged my equipment into it and it came on no problem.Just to ask a stupid question you are sure that the outlet you have the ups plugged into is working and has power right?If that outlet is working correctly I think there is something wrong with your UPS. Either the display is broken/internal disconnected or the battery(s?) are internally disconnected or something like that. There might be an option to turn the display off (maybe via the USB interface) but I am sure you would remember dong something like that.Just to see where the problem might be try connecting anything to the ups (like a lamp) and see if it turns on. Then pull the plug on the ups and see if the lamp (or whatever) stays on. That will tell you if it is just the display is bad or it is something else.
